I think its clean and simple but its a bit blocky. Not really eye appealing but its good never the less.

Here are some issues I've noticed:
1) The font choice seems too thin. I'm not sure if that's the issue, but in the screen shot it looks really pixelated. A way to fix that is to use a slightly stronger or bold font. And I'm personally not fond of such a curly font, but that's probably just me.
2) It seems too wide to be used in an iPhone. Maybe on an iPad, but probably not on an iPhone.
3) The misalignment on the bottom is really bugging me. The text field isn't centered, and the "send" button is not the same size and it's not aligned.
4) I'd suggest using a different colour for the box thing at the bottom. It seems too similar to the BG of the messages section.
