I don't know if i'm at the right place or section but i made a software and i wan't to release a trial version so when e.x 15 trial are finished they must buy the registration code or something like that.

I'll be very greatfull if someone could find me a software that does that because im not very familiar to coding.

Found this code about the Trial http://pastebin.com/gehL9RLR but I think that that will be easy to create a "cracked" version of your program, but if you use a obfuscator on your code then it will be harder to crack.

Doing a client side check is never safe.
You should make an algorithm to generate a unique database entry for each user like a0chg89akd and then code an easy API, like so.

api.php?id=a0chg89akd&handshake=hard2crackhandshakehere

This should give you a set of numbers that your program should be able to calculate.

Make sure to store variables on the server itself, and make it require the proper postdata,
in order to be able to view it, also encrypt the post data so it's made into hex (%20, and so on)
so if they succesfully manage to crack it, they'll have to manually change each value in order to make the program function correctly. Which is a pain.

I'm very aware that you're probably not gonna understand 1-bit of this.

On Topic.

My Idea Was When The Program Starts For First Time It Should Create A Key At Registry With The Date It Was First Launched... Then Every Time It Should Check That Date. That's The Simpliest Code You Can Write.

But ๖ۣۜPhoenix 's Idea Requires Much Knowledge. And Is 100% Safe!

The "name" LOL i hate when i see it too but i was a nubb when i singed up and now i can't change (creating multiply account i think is bannable) so i must be happy with this "nubb" name :P

Without modifying the executable :

1) Intercept the response
2) Change the response
Or,
1) Add website to system32/drivers/etc/hosts
2) On 127.0.0.1 put api.php with the response wanted in it

3) Use the software as long as you want

And, as it's .NET, you'll be able to understand where is the check algorithm in the program, and simply nop it.

And that's where the remote variables would come in handy, silly buns. 🤦‍♂
