Can anyone confirm this is working? Bit sketchy about running this on my computer, never seen a method this simple before.

Never mind, googled konboot and it seems very popular, although the files you gave me didn't work, I used Universal USB installer to install it on my usb stick.

Yes, Konboot is legit.
It's been around for at-least five or six years.

Decided to test this on my Windows 8 64 bit laptop, I wasn't expecting much but lo and behold; it actually works.

Do you think it'll work on the computers at my uni? They are all on a network but I'm curious.

I already did this in another way,
First I formated a bootable USB, downloaded konboot ISO and used a program called ISO to USB to get the files working on the USB.
I was amazed how easy it is to bypass and change someones password using this :)
