I was just derping around on the interwebz when I came across the second trailer for Kaze Tachinu. A cursory search of HF shows me that y'guys haven't discussed this one yet. Surely I'm not the only one who's super-psyched about Miyazaki making a movie about WWII? Remember how the last Ghibli movie about WWII turned out? 😁

Anyhow, here's the trailer, enjoy:

I believe we touched on this movie on the second or third episode of the webshow. Sadly this will also be Miyazaki's last anime film. :(

Still stoked though.

Haven't gotten around to more than Episode 1 of the web-show (thanks to your sig, BTW 😁). Let's hope it's his masterpiece. Miyazaki-sensei seems like the type who'd go out with a bang, aye?

Picked up the soundtrack the other day by usual suspect composer - Joe Hisaishi.
Listened to it, and I'm still on the fence hmm time will tell.

Have faith! Personally, the trailer had me hook-line-and-sinker. 😁

This movie already came out in Japan a couple months ago and (of course) it did really well in Japan. It's going to be released in North America early 2014 by Disney (again). I'm buying the storyboards soon too so I'll have the draft of the movie before I even get to watch it.

That's awesome! It's a damn shame that international shipping is so expensive here in Egypt. I mighta' gone for one o' those storyboards myself elsewise. ;D

Anyone know if it's come out in US theatres yet?

Damn dude, you're in Egypt? 0.O.... Hack forums is so diverse a I frickin love it. XD

...But yeah. I just received the storyboards from Porco Rosso yesterday and I'm gonna work on translating them to study the notes. Here's a pic of the two I have at the moment. You can probably guess what the other one is just by the looks of it.

Hot damn... Study the notes... Now that's dedication... I woulda' just y'know, like thumbed through it and stuff... XD
