Hi welcome to my quick and very easy tutorial on how to access any website, either at school, work e.t.c in a few easy steps.

step 1) go to http://ping.eu/

step 2) click the link that says "ping"

step 3) type in the website you want to access and click 'go'

step 4) after a few seconds some text should appear copy the ip of the site and paste into url bar

step 5) You've done it, the facebook page should appear, or whatever website you wanted to go on...

Most security systems or filters already block this. This won't normally work, especially from a government level (like China).

If you're on a Windows machine you can just open up CMD (command prompt) and ping the website, ex "ping facebook.com".
When someone is blocking a website thenit is usually through the "Host" file on the computer you're using or the router that you use and when you'll block a website you type in the website address, for example:

www.facebook.com
facebook.com

If possible it's enough to just type "facebook.com" if "www" isn't blocked.
Or just try something other than. ".com" ex. ".nl" or similar.

school/work computers would block cmd and any batch files -_- Boom!
this method usually works better than using the different domain endings e.g .nl ... this should mostly be used to access facebook

Well, the school/work techs must be really fucking retarded if they left this out... In our school, they've blocked pretty much everything... We used OPHcrack to get the admin password and installed Tor... that was the only way to get past their "website security".

why are you replying to such an old thread first of all, secondly, every single school I have been to does not filter this so it is quite a good method.
