I thought compromising the victim is the only way we can get password of an victim in social network sites (facebook,yahoo) . but recently my friend who forgot her password, asked someone for help and she got her account back.
my question is this, is there a way we can hack these big websites user account without even going near to the victim, or is there any other technique other than phishing , keylogging,session hi-jacking?
(and sorry to be another facebook password wanted nuisance but still i cant understand how it's possible)😊❓🤮

Well, I have thought of a method that could work. Essentially it would involve using a form of bruteforcing tool that is designed or at least functional with Facebook, and of course - a standard username and password list for using the attempts. This way the so-called "cracker" application would go through each possible login until it finds working ones, you know, the standard stuff that everyone knows about. The thing that you would need to change to avoid the account getting locked is setting up the tool to use a proxy that is located near the victim, or else the account has a very high chance of getting locked and require a form of verification to get unlocked for access. I guarantee there is at least a paid application out there that could do this if not, free. Or just code it yourself, a tool like this would not take a long time to learn how to develop so I recommend using a self made tutorial for the knowledge but that is really up to you.

thanks for reply @cybersaint, you mean using something like hydra.? even though we change proxy somewhere near to their place , more than 3 time wrong password will block you right?
and have you tried that method? i just wanna make sure multiple attempt wont block the account or add another verification step
