Hi guys,

I need your help, I'm having a bit of trouble with acces to my sister's folder. I want to access to her old folder to get the list of files so I can transfer them to her new folder. When I tried it, I will get this:

Do you know how I can access to her old folder to get the list of files?

Are there a way if I can bypass to allow me to access to the folders?

Any advise would be much appreciate.

in the past i have just pulled the hd out and connected it to a ide/sata to usb device. this allows you to mount the hd as a external drive/flash drive on the new pc and you should be able to transfer all the files. that is, unless the hd is encrypted. a ide/sata to usb device costs about $10.

another thought is to use a livecd application to reset the admin password on the pc. i don't recall 100% the name of the live cd (maybe its "nt password reset"). maybe someone else can chime in on the name of the disk.

Thanks for your advise, do you know how I can access on admin's folder when I have the error message "C:\Documents and Settings_backup\Anna-ANNA-NVE9AIGXDU is not accessible. Acccess is denied."

I'd hope there is possible to access it, as you know microsoft are a knobhead they shouldn't lock the folder if I need to access the folder to get the files back. 🙃
