With a jailbroken PS3, you can mod games, play backups of games and such. If you're into these kind of things, I'd say its worth it.

Depending on what games you play, and what you do online. One tip, never open homebrew online.

If you're looking to buy a 3.55 OFW PS3, my best bet would be on Amazon or eBay. I downgraded and jailbroke my PS3 myself, so I don't really know where to buy.

Ebay is the best place to buy it i used to mod on ps3 alot before moving to Xbox modding but i got some slim 3.55 CFW's from ebay from $200-$250 mint condition

I'm not entirely sure what caused it, the games only games I was playing at the time was GTA V and AW. How should I go about this situation? Obviously going from CID to CID isn't ideal...

So my ex-jailbroken phat ps3 was jailbroken back in '11 (https://www.youtube.com/The1337Hackerz) and obviously I've updated it since then and all the homebrew applications I had on my PS3 no longer open or work.

Is there anyway to downgrade or anything since it's been previously jailbroken?

Kinda new to this, but is my CECH-3002a PS3 slim downgradeable? I'm running the latest OFW. I'm just hoping to downgrade to 3.55, jailbreak and the just fuck around on CoD.

Firstly I'd like to state that I've owned a jailbroken PS3 and that was early '11 when everyone did it. I eventually stopped it all and moved on.

In about 2 hours I'll have a new PS3 with a fresh install of REBUG 4.70.1 REX on it. Great. Now here comes the problems. I've read around and I've noticed there's a lot of people getting console banned and to purchase an ID can cost anywhere from $15 to $40 which is a bit much if you ask me.

I'm wanting to find out the best way to avoid console ban if I were to play the following games:
Grand Theft Auto V
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops 1
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

That's just a few of them for now, but I do plan on modding on other games.

I heard there's a high ban rate on GTA V and BO2. How would I avoid ban? What cid spoofer would I use? How can I hide it? If you could please maybe suggest a few or even just link me a few threads I'd appreciate it a lot! I'll find a way to return later on.
