First contest: There will be a qualifying round in which the contestants will have from the time they read the post until the night of the contest to prepare themselves. The qualifying round will have incrediblly transparent rules. Even though the goal will be a subjective one, the rules will be described as objectively as possible. The contest will be for the person who has teh coolest, ricest and awesomest desktop. More points will be given to technical accomplishments, such as custom built scripts, as where points for aesthetics will take the lesser part of the point scale. Screenshots are required, and for animated things it is suggested you provide video or GIF to show the full glory to the judges. If you wrote or edited code to achieve something ricey, cool, or gorgeous--it is suggested you also provide code. if you would like to provide your dot files (.files), it is highly suggested you do so. You are not limited by OS, if you want to enter as Mac, Linux or Windows or--hell, yo
