I don't see why KB2952664 update seen as snooping users data as this update only collect information about hardware and software installed there is no need Microsoft to collect any users personal data as it has nothing to do with installing the latest Windows operating system.
How is KB3123862 update snooping users data as this update only adds capabilities to some computers that lets users easily learn about Windows 10 or start an upgrade to Windows 10.

You are correct, what it does it, is collects information about your hardware and software to prepare your computer for Windows 10 Upgrade. Anything sensitive you have installed that would tell something about you is collected as well. For example if you are into porn and have some client installed that is used to view brazzers or similar sites, this will be sent over to Microsoft as well. On top of that all USB plugged device information will also be collected. It does collect plenty of stuff even if it's just technical :)

I still say this update only collects hardware and software information but one does not have to have anything to hide to have a measure of concern about such privacy erosion if there is any.
