Getting sourcecodes from games?

I was messing around with minescape and I thought it would be cool to mess around with a private server and edit some stuff. What does this entail? Decrypting the files somehow?
Normally people just unpack the files manually.
Well I've found out that the .jar file could be decompiled to get the class files. When I open these files in Eclipse it claims that the .class files have no source files. I'd assume this is something java programmers would know how to deal with?
Do you honestly think commercial games developers such as Jagex Ltd. are going to include the source code with their game???
you have to decompile the class files, which can be be time consuming if there protected in different ways.

Assuming that I was saying that might have been the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Also the source codes are in the game files. They just have to be decrypted or something like Excessum. Problem is no one seems to know how to do it.
