hey i was checking out yahoo rooms today and wen i entered one, my user name and my ip address was displayed in the chatroom by a random user.. creepy!
any idea how he did that?
it said something like "leet graber v4" at the end of the msg

just wondering how a user in a chatroom could find my ip!

[warujim]

they cant see your ip dude - its like those signatures that show ur ip/os/service pack, its displayed locally by the person who is looking at it. the person posting it cant actually SEE it

relax man, just call him a skid and break into his machine :D lol

[varun]

ah thanks.. relieved now.. :D i was kinda worried cause there are hardly any members in the room today and that user posted stuff like my username,ip,location and stuff in the chatroom!
