I'm totally against this in many ways,
First off regular and leet member could still scam by pming the op in the CE section.
Majority of scammers are ub3rs you could verify that via disputedb or by the deal dispute section.

Unfortunately it's not a democracy. The change has done a lot of good for this section already.

Why doesn't Omniscient allow everyone but put restrictions.

Such as;
Must be in positive reputation.
X months active on the forums.

This wouldn't help if scammers buy account, but they can also buy Ub3rs account.
I have not been here too long nor I am in the backend to see everything but from what I have seen the people that scam in the currency exchange are either new account with bad reputation or bought accounts/multiple accounts.

Perhaps you can make a subforum for everyone to trade their currency like secondary and primary section.

Just my personal opinion.
I will update my post if I feel I have missed something.

Plus Ub3r will be discontinued as you've stated, so this will also be a problem in the long run.

It won't stop scamming obviously. This was intended to cut down on scamming, you can't stop it altogether.

I've seen the majority of scams coming from L33T, everyone who's not UB3R says we scam a lot because that's the only people you trade with. Most L33Ts try to scam but fail because they don't have the trust an UB3R might have. I get so, so many offers from unverified PayPal scammers who are regular or L33T members.

Omni is not going to involve himself in deal disputes. Do you realize how much time that would take up? He could work almost 12 hours a day and still not cover all members issues in the deal dispute section.

He can still exchange with people who create threads or PM users who post on those big exchange threads.

Not going to happen.
And it won't stop Ub3r's scamming the section, but it'll stop regular and L33T members scamming, which has to count for something. And you're only suggesting that regular members be banned, because you're a L33T, making you automatically bias.
