Self banning..? For security purposes I suppose..

Some people like to self ban themselves in order to stay away from the forum during a time of exams or when they have a lot of work to get done. It helps for those who use HF to procrastinate.

No that would confuse the moderation team to much while looking into requests for unbans or anything else.

Yes, but it stores them all in a database, when you get unbanned, it automatically joins the groups back.
