It's 2012, there's no reason not to download everything. Steaming is shit in, the quality is shit, the built in internet media players are shit and the whole idea of streaming anime is shit. It's not like you can't watch anime when it downloads or delete it when it's done if you're worried about waiting or HDD space. All those people who slave over the anime subbing it and encoding it put it up for download themselves, why not use their nice, high quality, well organized and propertied name files when they're always available. With streams half the time you don't know the fansubbers unless they throw their name in the video itself, you're not even supporting the fansubers when you stream.

I stream my anime because I don't know how much memory my laptop can handle. It's not that it doesn't have enough gb, it's because it moves slower or something. My laptop is a tard so it does whatever the hell it wants, when it wants to sometimes. Also, streaming anime is quicker for me. The only thing that I really dislike about it is the god damned commercials. I'm sure there are other reasons as to why I stream anime over downloading it but I don't feel the need to state that... Watching anime on a dedicated media player doesn't take much more memory then watching it on a shitty web browser media player.

Maybe because you don't know how to watch anime. I'm on a shit tier satellite connection and I still can watch 720p anime on the spot while it's downloading on my piece of shit laptop with a beautiful quality. I bet you get your music from youtube.

Streaming as I have quite nice internet speed and don't have to wait, and it doesn't take up any space on my PC, but if I'm traveling I'll download as I'll have something to watch while I'm on the plane or waiting for the plane.

Couldn't agree more, I download all my Anime in encoded .MKV due to the fact that I have a bandwidth limitation of 30GB per month. Downloading is also useful for when you don't have internet and feel the urge to watch some Anime, just pop in your HDD and you're away.

I download my anime as you can't beat that 1080p Blue Ray quality. I occasionally stream when I am unsure about and a anime and want to see if its any good.

You can watch anime as it downloads you know, at a much higher quality. And if you need the HDD space you can just delete them. It's not like HDD space isn't cheap.

I just download them. Personally buffering is my arch nemesis. Plus it is so much faster to download the entire series in say 10 minutes (which most 4gb series take for me) than watching one episode for 40 minutes including the 10 min buffering. I guess it is just personal preference though.

On some torrent downloaders like utorrent, you can stream the downloads.

@ Loli Pantsu lol Wow, I do get my music from youtube. I just convert the audio and video to pure audio. I get my music in a multitude of ways though. The thing is, I don't understand what that has to do with streaming anime, so your insult falls short. I guess my wifi wasn't as shitty as I thought because I don't have any problems with my streaming speed. I'm really tolerant and patient though so maybe it does take longer, I might just naturally ignore the time I have to wait. Plus, I'm usually multi-tasking so who cares. My anime always seems to be in HD too but maybe I'll start downloading anime over streaming it when I give a shit.

All of this isn't me saying that I don't download anime by the way because I only download anime movies. I guess I only download anime that I intend to watch more than once. Besides, erasing shit is just an extra step that I don't care to do. :p

I download becuase the quality is much better. I also buy anime dvd's but that comes into downloading too. I used to stream when I started watching anime but now I don't
