There was a thread made in Rules, Suggestion, Announcements forum and omni said that these are allowed since ransom means something else.

If someone reports with proper proof and everything, we can get banned but all you have to do is make a new account and then start again, so simple :P 🤗

I believe this form of Ransomware is allowed, as it's continued to be sold here with no problems. And do you mean banned from the PPD sites, because I always run a survey locker on my new slaves, and I've never been banned yet.

It is though. Ransom can be described as taking something, and wanting money for the return of it. In a surveylocker, you're taking away access to most of their files and free use of their desktop, in return of them completing a survey, which grants you money.
