You don't have to take my word for it, but I attended a high school ranked #1 in the USA for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Every individual in my school was above and beyond in academics (worst people I've ever met in my life, though). Many of them are ranked nationally in the top 20 in various competitions and such (like Bio Olympiad, AIME, Physics Olympiad, Calculus League, etc).
Students in my grade were VERY intelligent. I personally never got too far except placing in Nationals (out of the entire USA) for TSA Webmaster. But I know for a fact at least a fourth of these kids did pot and probably another fourth of them do pot now.
So it's safe to assume 20 kids out of 60 did pot in the best high school in the country, with each kid scoring over 2200 on their SATs, maintaining a 96+ average in Honors/AP courses (I ended up taking Calc 4 in senior year), and being overall the brightest kids in America, really. I'm sure each of their IQs were 135+.
However, I'll let you know that once I started doing pot, my IQ dropped drastically. It went from 170 (yes, I scored a 170 in high school because I'm a nerd) to a 140. Not THAT terrible, but still a major drop in my academics. It made me VERY unmotivated, dropping my GPA from a 95 to an 87. I suffered a lot due to marijuana. If I had the chance to go back and change my decisions, I would.
TL;DR I attended the best high school in America based on academic achievement, a good third of my class smoked pot and went on to attend Ivy League colleges, I personally would not do it again because it made me very unmotivated.
