It took me a second looking incredibly hard to see the difference. Granted I might not have as refined a "pallet" as some of you graphic artists. Overall I don't think the difference would hurt your advertising demographic too hard as long as it wasn't someone with a trained eye.

As someone already pointed out, Imgur is more than just an image host these days- it's a full fledged community. Yes it compresses your image, but YouTube does the same thing with videos (crushes blacks etc). Imgur isn't meant for high quality image posts, rather something quick and easy to share, like YouTube.

Plus we are on a "hacking" (term used loosely) forum where people are more aware of what they click to see full image- Imgur is trusted and well-known, other sites aren't.

To be honest, it doesn't downgrade the quality enough to where I would stop using imgur. Also I don't just use imgur as a image sharing site but also to see images other people have posted.

The only place I can really notice a different at on the bottom right where the Paypal logo is. It isn't enough to get me to leave imgur though.

By the way, the one that you uploaded to Imgur was an JPG image (quality will be downgraded a lil bit).

And graphic kiddos always save images as PNG (best quality). Like u did on Vcstanced.
