Bitcoin transactions have 0 confirmations? Learn how to fix them!

This works on the Mycelium Wallet too! Nice topic 🙂

i.e.

Sellers sells someone something so the buyer makes the fee intentionally small so it remains at 0 confirmations for a long time.

The seller is retarted and releases the item after he sees the transaction on the blockchain with 0 confirmations.

Buyer uses RBF and puts a high fee and sends the funds to the buyers alternate address so the seller ends up getting no money?

Edit: Is this what double spend is?

Double spendings always been an issue. The solution is to just not accept 0 confirmation transactions. Generally, you should wait till a transaction has a minimum of several confirmations in the block chain before releasing anything you're selling.

Also, I'd like to note. Transactions fees are typically not the issues with unconfirmed transactions. BTC has just got to the difficulty point at which we're making too many transactions between blocks, that we just cant mine in time.

This is correct. The core team is also not helping it one bit.

I've already explained that this isn't possible with these methods as the updated fee must be sent as the same sender/receiver pair.
I assume this won't work with the blockchain web wallet
Or am I wrong?
wtf never knew this existed... gonna try it when I gamble this week

Sadly blockchain does not support this option. If you have an android, you can you use mycelium which does support this option. Adding that into the OP as we speak.

Edit: Going to be doing a massive overhaul to this tutorial tonight. Expect some awesomeness. :)
Thanks for this guide! Could you explain what mycelium is? I sent three payments yesterday on Blockchain, but nothing has confirmed, about 30-40 hours have passed...

Mycelium is a wallet for android. https://wallet.mycelium.com/

If anyone has an android and would like to provide a picture tutorial for RBF, please let me know!

Finally a decent thread I can stick.
You'd have to sync the entire Blockchain on Bitcoin Core, any other alternatives for resending a Blockchain.info transaction?

I'd be willing to help you out on that. I use Mycelium primarily and love using it!
