You may want to take a look into mining XMR, Sia seems to be profitable, and anything else that may come out. That time is a ways off though.

The amount of money you have to spare here, you're honestly better off investing into crypto currencies and if it works out you'll probably be a millionaire by the end of the year. In my honest opinion, you would find a better and stonger miner on the forum bitcointalk since they have a bigger community and are based on this topic. So far I've just gone with the open "bench" setup to save on costs and to make cooling easy. If you look at the photo provided, you can see the bench with three rigs (a mix of 5870, 5970 and one older 5840) on the floor is the Bitcoin solo server running in -server mode, which also has 2 5870's. There are a couple of other machines in my office with 5870's elsewhere. I am at 3.8G/hash and adding about 1/g/hash per week buying up cheap used cards via craigslist. I am working on building a good Ubuntu Live ATI ISO file today in an attempt to eliminate all of the hard drives by using USB thumb drives, that'll save on electricity as well as hardware costs going forward.
Looking to build a mining rig.
Budget is around $2k~ but can easily be expanded by 2-4x Source of cash wont stop and it will run at my sisters place with very low electricity costs. Please recommend a build. Ill probably start mining eth or whatever most profitable. Havent looked exactly into what the rates are right now (Jun 17, 2017 02:51 PM)Silent Wrote: Not sure if anyone could recommend me a mining rig? The Radeon R9 295X2 has by far the highest hash rate (46.0 MH/s) of the Ethereum GPUs on the market and will cost you $600. It has a power cost per day of about $1.44, a return per day of about $1.61 and a cost per MH/s of $13.04. This gives a return per year of $586.43. |
