We saw this happen on reddit many years ago with the Boston bombers:

People need to be really careful about false accusations. It's good you censored it all from the start - nice job.

Regardless of whether someone is 99% confident or 1% sure... Don't release suspect names on forums/sites/socials! I respect you for knowing better and it worked out well because you would've targeted an innocent person otherwise.
