Quick question: I used to have an irc server run with me and my bud with a bunch of bots on it but he handled coding the entire server and everything, I paid for the actual hosting we used for the server though, If I were to config all of this following the tut would I be ready to start compiling a bot and pay for a host for my irc server or do I even need to pay for a host. Seriously confused haven't picked up this shit in a couple years lol.

Is it possible to connect to my custom IRC server using my no-ip host? The only way I could seem to do it was by using 127.0.0.1.

What happens if you have your own IRC server, and you shut down your pc? Do you lose all your bots if you do that?
