It's a nice addition for 3P1C to have an extra 6,000 characters than the default. So your plan on getting more people to use OMC, is working.
However i still would love to see this Implemented. I really do think it will make a big difference.

Out of curiosity, why give Epic a higher cap than Uber?

To get more people to want OMC?

Yeah, just check the replies to this thread and you'll notice multiple members saying they're going to upgrade to 3P1C now. That's what we need, supply floating around the forums.

Very smart limit. The perceive value of 3PIC may go higher than UB3R.
This is really awesome. Whenever I'm doing something for the HF News team every week, I always hit around 20-24k characters. Before I had to cut out a lot to test, but this definitely helps!
Well, I was already on the border of buying Epic because of the PM space but now it seems like I really should. Guess I'll be getting it when I get paid.
Only use HF to deal.
What would the limit be for uber + epic members?
Does it have to be the primary group?
Nice creation omni!

I assume the priority is set to be the highest. So if you're UB3R and 3P1C, your maximum length will be 24000.

No, it does not. 3P1C cannot even be your primary group. It can only be a display group which is not the same. Regular, L33t, and Ub3r are primary groups. 3p1c and even Mentor are secondary groups along with all custom member groups. Staff and Admin are primary groups but those bypass just about all setting limitations.
This is awesome, thanks for the great addition!

While I'm not one to ever tell a man he can't smoke in his own home, if I may.

Instead of giving unlimited characters on the forums, would you be open to, or at least the consideration of giving them a substantial amount more, say 40,000 to 50,000 characters inside of a specific subforum, and only allow 2-3 posts at such length per day?

That way, it would be severely limited only to the areas in which they moderate, which would allow for individuals like Sir to make news posts into single posts, while also ensuring that abuse of said ability would be limited.

Additional benefits to this would be for instance, someone makes a lengthy tutorial on wireshark. Just learning all of the modules would take a healthy 30-40 posts at my current character setting restrictions. With this new suggested rule in place, would the chance arise, I could pass my tutorial on to a moderator, who could post it for me, and in just a handful of posts, instead of the dozens it would take me.

The work flow alone of preplanning, staging, skeletal structuring, and then step by step guides is a massive undertaking, and following my own work at current settings is hard to do.

This instance shows in my router and switch tutorials for instance. They are in pieces because it was the only way to manage it, but they are only a very basic baseline config to even begin building off of. Once I finish with the 50 or so threads (when I can finally get back to it), then I will have to provide 50-60 links to the threads, and individuals will have to painstakingly go to link after link after link, tutorial by tutorial, just to accomplish one moderately configured switch.

From a business perspective, I highly expect that in the event of higher quality tutorials, with centralized structure, or at least large content fields, we would be able to produce potentially, far greater quality posts in terms of walk throughs, tutorials, and thread based classes.

By doing so, it would increase the amount of valuable content to the site, and thus potentially increase the number of hits to the site, as well as users.

Again, its your house though, and I’m not one to tell a man what to do in his own. Its just a thought.
I personally would love to put up a nice solid tutorial on wireshark and routers/switch infrastructure though. At the current standings though, unless I make a video, it won’t fit 

Thanks for informing. Sad to see i do not have 3pic but also not required that now.
18,000 is good for me.

Good decision.

My suggestion is cut it short or replace with picture.
Am I the only one to think that UB3R should cost more than EP1C?
