(Feb 26, 2016 02:02 PM)Datageni Wrote: This doesn't work on Windows 10. I tried today and I get stuck in the Kon-Boot loading screen when I try on a Win10 machine. Tried on two different laptops, both same problem. It worked on Windows 7 though. Any explanation why? The Win 10 is using hibernation mode when shut down. They may not specify it, but that's why Win 10 (and Win 8) is booting faster than Win 7. So, when you press the Power button (or you close it by shut down option from start menu) it goes to hibernation phase. Solution: ctrl panel-power options-choose what the power button does-change settings that are currently unavailable-UNCHECK turn on fast startup(recommended). P.S.: This is also the reason for mounting windows partitions error, when booting from linux from a live usb. |
