It would basically be pointless to include a thread next week just add onto to that at this point. Still upset with how the news has gone. Sectional writers have a deadline as of Friday prior to the upcoming edition. From there, anything that isn't done gets done by the On-Call Team which is then proof-read, compiled and then put out. We've had quite a few changes so bare with us. It gets put out when it gets put out. (Sep 8, 2016 07:16 AM)Wires Wrote: Sectional writers have a deadline as of Friday prior to the upcoming edition. I probably won't be viewing or commenting on HF News anymore.

Bare in mind that there may be plenty of reasons as to why the upcoming edition(s) are late. Furthermore, schools/colleges are just starting up again. Wouldn't say it's people being lazy. Remember we do a voluntary job and we have priorities outside of HF. Anyhow, we're improving 😉 (Sep 8, 2016 07:51 AM)Wires Wrote: Bare in mind that there may be plenty of reasons as to why the upcoming edition(s) are late. Anyhow, we're improving 😉 If you wanna call this improving lol. Don't do something you can't dedicate time to then? Simple. You guys deny so many applicants that are willing to contribute so much time. Whatever, like I said I'm not viewing/commenting/or posting anymore in all new sections including weekly reports. I'm done with it.

You guys deny so many applicants that are willing to contribute so much time. 1. Missing so many sections because I keep removing the inactive members and the process to recruit is much longer. I try to instantly add ex-Writers when the opportunity is available. 2. I deny a lot because I'd rather have a quality weekly news than subpar quality and on time news. And I won't sugar coat why it's been late the past few weeks. School started, I had family events for 2 straight weeks holding me back pretty much on everything (held me back so much I'm failing 1 class atm), and the process to publication is long. Journalist submit by Friday. On-Call complete by Sunday and scholars proofread during the weekend. Monday is when I should publish but I have homework that takes priority and graphics aren't available. I have to contact Novica who is vacation banned and timezones get in the way as well. It would've went live yesterday if he lived in the same general timezone as me but he doesn't. I'm not trying to BS our way out of this, clearly we have been slacking but at the same time still improving. So, to wrap this up: when the edition is published, feel free to read and comment or ignore and miss out on news you might not be aware of. |
