But I guess it isn't that important.
That reminds me that some threads will look outdated now that we can't edit them. I have a few threads saying 'Method Working As Of October' which will not be good for sales in a few months.
It's only a small worry, I have. Nothing major.
Shame this has to be implemented.
90 days is a good length of time. I'm not sure that I've ever actually needed to edit a thread older than that, but I can definitely see this causing closure of marketplace threads after 90 days. Doesn't affect me personally, just a thought I had when reading through this.

Soon I won't even be able to read threads.
It sometimes does feel this way, yeah.
I want whats best for HF, but at times these solutions really do feel more harmful to the community than simply dealing with reports when they come in. I don't know the intricacies around staffing HF, but I don't imagine it's too crazy to bring in a new staff that solely handles reports and incidents like these ones.

The junk feature was removed, so people started editing threads.
What is next? Who wants a guess?
Probably junking threads before the 90 days are up...
My hat used to be somewhere along the border of being grey but over the past few years, I realized my calling is to learn and help others out in ways that I can ethically. Learn as much as you can, experience, grow, educate, and throw yourself in uncomfortable situations.

Would you use a "pay for edit" option if there was one available just for marketplace.?
Maybe like buy 20 edits for 20$ and use them as per your need.

People host images of threads and change the picture with the new contact. It's not hard and undetectable.

Not only will they attempt to circumvent them, but most people abusing this anyways are doing it to sales threads they made only a few days prior, so these sort of restrictions won't really affect them.

Thanks for echoing.
I'm sure this is circumventing the rules but I'm sure this will happen next.

Lol you just found a new way. I can see people offering this service soon lol.

Already making a thread. This will be a service a monthly fee Lul.

It damn is, what's your point once again? You're going to restrict sellers from using sales techniques? Root of this problem isnt editing threads once a month, it's deleting content overall, which technically could have been stopped the other way around. Dont let threads with over 500 or 1k characters to be deleted or edited, I'm pretty sure Omni knows his way around to do it that way instead of removing it for everyone.
While in reality the only way to stop it is removing it completely, I can see how it will affect people who keep their threads for long and actually have a brain to test your "so called" techniques. None prohibited us to change thread design, now apparently we are, not a fan as I previously stated but there's nothing left to it other than adjust to whatever comes next and thank those idiots that abused the shit out of it.

Lol. I don't think anyone here would do that. I'd rather just make a new updates sales thread instead of paying $20 to change an image on the thread.
i miss the old hf, shit posts constantly in the lounge hf, groups going for more thank 1k hf.

That sounds good to me for marketplace threads. But not so good for free tutorials.
Well at the very least, the edit feature is not completely removed as I expected. So this isn't the worst thing in the world.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
