This compared to Omniscient's other projects is quite a different story. These should be much easier, hopefully. I don't think Omniscient would take up a very, very large project in the midst of the others at the moment. Plus not everything people are suggesting will be implemented. Though I do see how these tools can seem be very trivial and useless. It seems like a nice idea, but what is the actual practicality.

I don't really see this as necessary to be honest, I'd rather see more time be put into the Vouch system than bringing tools to HF. But that's just me, regardless do what you wanna do my man.

There are no tools which couldn't be found on google within 1 minute.
If I had to make a decision, I would choose an IP locator.

I'd love to see a HF resolver, type in a HF member's username and get their entire IP history. Not only that, but maybe even a session hijacker! You type in their username, next time they login, it PMs you with their session ID.

I'd personally use:

Hash encrypters (text to MD5 and others)
Ping target port (like http://ping.eu/port-chk/ )
Some pastebin alike service

I'm not going to add anything like a Skype resolver or booter obviously. When I mentioned resolver I meant like an IP lookup tool or DNS resolver.

Personally I'm going to say we don't need tools as it will bring unnecessary drama and more workload on Omni.

I actually want to add them because I constantly use them and I have most of these already written out. I just have to make them into MyBB pages which is fairly quick for me.

I know that you don't want a calender because of security reasons, but a calender is still a nice idea imho.

MyBB comes with it but I disable it. Not really into adding it again.

Port Scanner

Not sure I want someone to see us scanning ports and plus it would open up a security risk as you could get server IPs.

You shouldn't waste your time with tools that nearly nobody will use in the end in my opinion, tbh.

Most of them I use myself. That's why I want to add them for everyone.

Tbh all of this already exists and there are tons of threads on HF about them....their all public.

Maybe add it as a feature for epic I guess.

The only feature I could see possibly pretty useful is a pop up for users with less than 100 posts to tell them to search before posting a thread that has been created five times over.

An encryption/decryption tool might be kind of cool if it were using unique encryptions specific to HF. That would be time consuming to write though.

Don't add IP lookup there is some kids that ddos other members and much more, that's not a great feature in my opinion.
