I think AnimeFAN! is getting so much shit because it's one of the few groups that actually makes an attempt to satisfy a demand that many HF members had.

I can't say the same for Pirates. Looks like a group most people join just so they can add another 100 pixels to their HF portfolio imo.

Just my opinion, Pirates quality actually surprised me, a much better group than I expected it to be. It has some members who just join for the userbar though.

Really no point arguing what animeFAN! did and didn't do now or whether you liked it or not, the group has been around for 4 years now and will function without being an 'official' group, just as it did. It has done many things for Anime Adventures and I even like to think its done a few things for Hackforums on a grander scale. If you fail to see this because 1) you hate anime or 2) aren't looking hard enough then your opinion is probably irrelevant anyway.
