I'm currently only level 15.. I've been addicted to this game, I almost crashed into a women the other day.. and I replied.. "sorry, playing pokemon go" I thought about it and felt embarrassed because she was hot lol

You literally have to travel around to find pokes. They relate to certain biomes, the weather that is going on outside, etc.
You also start off with a couple lures which basically attract pokemon to your area for around 28 minutes. Just gotta get up and look around basically.

Level 17 at the moment. I plan on playing casually and getting to 20 within a week or so. I'm saving up all my dust and candies for a gyarados, but that 400 candy requirement man it's killing me.

I'm currently level 4 since I just started "seriously" playing the game haha. Not that bad since I played it all in my house.

I'm level 19, but I have enough evolutions waiting in my Pokemon to get to 20. I'm waiting to use them for tonight when I go to the town square where there are an assload of Pokestops and lures 24/7. I'm going to use a lucky egg.

I am level 15. I play on grinding for a few hours tonight once I get off of work though. There Is a tri-lure area that ALWAYS has Pokemon spawned.

Currently I am level one. I plan to start all over again and try to get Pikachu. This game is really fun actually.

When the game first starts, don't pick one of the first 3 Pokemon. Just keep walking and ignoring them even though they'll keep teleporting in front of you. After some time (5 mins for me) a Pikachu will spawn with them and there you go. :)
