I would like the money because this Christmas I won't be getting anything, because my parents don't celebrate it, so if I win this money I'm going to keep $200 and buy myself a Nexus 5 and possibly give it to my mom as a present for her. The other $50 will go towards a charity such as Samartian Services. This way others can have a happy holiday that they will never forget. I wan't to make Christmas bright for everyone not just me or my parents or my siblings everyone should have a holiday they would never forget! I am also working on a Science Fair project for my school as I am a student and its costing me alot its costing around $50 for creating a simple flashlight. I would honestly love you if you can make this happen because I love building things and this would be my first project in real life for building something useful. My parents say its too expensive so they won't finance it and I can't get a job yet in my country so I don't know where I can get the money!

I think I deserve this but then again its just my thoughts, its up to you OP to decide. I do alot to try and help around HF but not because of the money but because of my kindness. Sorry for the giant brick wall but I feel that I must explain everything that has happened to me this year because I don't think anybody entering this contest has ever been as ripped off and used as much as I have.

What do you want the money for: I would use it to invest and multiply the amount over time because I can live without needing to pleasure myself instantly despite it being my birthday in a week from now. Even though I'm probably not getting any presents again this year because my parents simply can't afford it. After perhaps quadrupling or even turning it into 2k in a through legitimate means I would host a duplicate of this giveaway, give a portion of it to charity for people in need, and finally fix up my victimised rip-off computer that's not even stable :\. I would then clear up my big debt of around $400 owed to friends but only a 1/4 of that debt was actually spent for self-gain the rest went towards my closest friends as a token of our friendship. and then buy myself a cheap but decent $100 Android phone, because I only need a basic phone that is capable of running Android apps. It would greatly benefit my life as I am currently self-studying Japanese and really need to buy some study materials which will keep me going and motivated as well as having an electronic dictionary app on my new phone as my current one is a Samsung SGH-Z400. I used to have a useless Nokia 5230 that as a joke of a smartphone and ran on Symbian which nobody develops for anymore as well as costing $300 NZD 4 years ago. Where now its worth about $50. And so I could use it as a LIGHT-timer for my running that doesn't sap me of my energy because my current phone is heavy as hell and it's the only thing I can use to time myself. I can't even enjoy listening to music when I'm out because my headphones that my brother bought me for $20 draw too much power that my crappy little MP3 player can't handle and ends up distorting the music. Oh yeah I completely forgot to mention this as well. I even have friends who steal from me. But I can't do anything about it because they're so violent and might end up throwing Molotov's at my house because that's how much of an anger issue he has. So it's not like I can defriend him either and when accused it's like playing with death. That's something that has really upset me :\

Do you deserve it: This depends on where you're coming from when asking this question. If you were to base this question off what I've done irl to those around me and what I've been affected by then yes. For starters this year has been a whole-round up scam year not only for me but for my family AND friends. I was scammed of around 800 USD and 40 hours of my labour from Internet Marketing with someone whom I called a best friend and put all my trust in. We were making a steady income but then turns out he was making up false costs and stashing the money away for himself. I only figured it out and found out once he went ahead and bought himself a brand new release-day $1200 NZD Galaxy S4. As well as these unnecessary upgrades for his computer. While I had let him build my computer for me for $600 NZD(my parents paid for it) only to find that he exaggerated the prices and got away with about $200 nzd in his pocket. And the misfortune I had on top of that when I installed some new ram wrong that had heat spreaders on it so it was confusing and ended up blowing my mobo. Had to spend ANOTHER $100 on a crappy motherboard that doesn't even support USB 3.0. Hell the computer didn't even come with a graphics card, on top of that it came with a troll psu that could very well blow up if I overload it and destroy every single part connected to my computer. So if I wish to upgrade it to its full potential I'll need to fork out another $80 for a PSU and another $200 for a graphics card that will match my processor. My friends had fallen into the same scheme because of me. Because I had been best friends with this guy for about 5 years and I used to sleep over at his place at least twice a month only to find our entire friendship was built up of lies.

I have gone through many defriendals this year and come close to many. 2013 has been one hell of a year on me as school continues to burden me as well as my losses. My parents may or may not get back the $1800 NZD which was borrowed and added onto the big fat mortgage we had.It was meant to be invested in Bitcoins whom we would've made a great profit only to find that the company we sent it to started selectively scamming people shortly after the payment was sent :\. So that just adds more stress to my shoulders. On top of all this I believe I deserve it because I've gone through so much shit this year. So much before I've even reached adulthood, I'm only 16 atm so it's not like I can go out and get a job and look at this petty-money like nothing. I only got into debt in the first place because I was making a steady income and I didn't have the money upfront when it was required but then it turned out my business partner was scamming me.. I even spent about $400 on a PC for my best friend because I felt sorry for him because of the situation he was in and thought it would come off as nothing because I was making solid income but then yeah- My family is only JUST surviving off the unemployment benefit and I've been through a lot. As well as this I almost ended up defriending him recently but managed to resolve the issue I had with him.

This money could change my life very easily and it could change many others where I plan to donate it to after I'm done with it. That $50 and more I would give to the Child Foundation so it can go towards feeding the hungry and building wells and shelters for them. As well as schooling so they can get an education whom most take for granted. I can't even afford to hang out with friends because I don't have an allowance and my parents can't afford to let me do that. It just piles onto the depression and boredom I go through everyday as its the school holidays and I've gotten sick of video games. I get so bored that I start pondering the meaning of life. Christmas came early for my friends 8 months ago but I'm the one whose taken on the burden of a debt as a result. So if I were to be chosen then this money wouldn't be spent selfishly. It would simply be recovering the lost funds and make up for all the crap I've received this year. My parents don't celebrate Christmas either because it's too expensive and I just don't get what's happened to Christmas. Kids getting $500 presents and what not it's just crazy. That ain't christmas that's just an excuse to spend a lot of money. Back when I was a kid I was happy with just getting a couple of books or a board game for Christmas. In regards to this question as HF. I believe I've contributed to the community over the years somewhat.

TL;DR: Please read it so you can fully grasp the situation I'm in. But in short, I've been ripped off hardcore this year, I've gone through a lot of crap that people my age probably won't even experience until they're in their mid-30s. I'm a very caring person who usually puts others before myself and as a result of this I have buried myself into a debt of around $400. I've been robbed of $2600 if you include my parents money and have been victim of many betrayals. I would go more in-depth about my situation but this is the internet. Giving away too much information could very well screw you over.

If I were doing a giveaway like this I would give it to them in a heart beat. Because that's what I've been doing all this year only to have been taken advantage of on numerous occasions. Having a smartphone would enable me to fix my sleep problems by means of finding a stable sleep pattern. It would aid me in my Japanese learning adventure that will not only make me smarter with school as a result of learning a new language but will help me reach my long-term goals and live out my dream life. By having access to an electronic dictionary and purchasing motivational and guiding ebooks in packages for a combined total of $50. Would greatly help me. So for the small price it would cost to change my life. Yes, I would highly cherish your thoughtful actions and make you my best friend anyday and hopefully one day give back to you but in a greater sum. It would also enable me to finally get a girlfriend because requiring a girlfriend requires at least some money, right? I live about 25 KM away from the city whom most of my friends reside around. So if I want to hang out for the day I have to spend about $5.20 just in transport. Which can be rather demanding as I live in a family of 4 and because of my mums recent step-down because of the recession her company couldn't afford to keep her around anymore. Her giant leaving-sum is only what's propping up the unemployment benefit funds to a liveable standard at least for now.. And since it was so large the IRD is demanding she pays back the tax funds that we've received in the form of the child-support benefit. Where parents are given $80 a week for children under 18 in order to financially support the family. Now the IRD wants all that money back from last year which comes to around $4000. So that even tops our debt off even more :\

But do you see the big picture yet? How much this money could change my life and rub off on my parents? As a result I don't think anybody in my situation could turn you down to being a best friend.

Perhaps I'll finally be able to see a Christmas where I don't sit through it like any other day as I've done in previous years :\

Edit: Great, just found out my parents are $7000 overdraft and on top of that, that my hard drive is a goner, https://puu.sh/5Qva7/b73b9da7d0.png . I've been off HF for the past day because I've formatted this dying-hard drive and have been zeroing it in an attempt to fix it, didn't work so now tryin HDD Regenerator and hoping for the best. It's not like I can RMA it either because I have no box nor receipt. Sigh this just means more debt.. Because I only have this dying hard drive and a 6 year old Hitachi 500gb.

What do you want the money for: I am using the money to invest into my home studio I am building in January. The total cost will be $3700 but every little bit counts. I am also living on my own in an apartment at 16, so I only really have so much money to throw around. I am not going to lie and say I absolutely need this, as I do not. It would just be nice to have as $250 is only a few dollars off of the mic I have in mind. I will be recording rap/ hip-hop.
