I suggest you make yourself familiar if you care about privacy. I would much rather support any platform that supports privacy, than one that supports anti-privacy. I actually do use duckduckgo for searching and I can say one thing for sure - duckduckgo doesn't even get close to Google in terms of results. Anytime I have trouble finding something on duckduckgo I can find it instantly on Google. Other concerns aside, Google is damn good at their search engine. I used to try and keep my shit private but it's not worth it, every other service is such a pain and usually ends up having all your data leaked anyways. Go download your data from google then look at the raw data. Lets just say everything you have ever done that was linked to your google account stays on your google account. Your "deleted" photos are still in those data files and they also have publically accessible links.

I can't take that away from you, in my opinion search results are better on DuckDuckGo. Not only does Google block DMCA, and many other things.. But they have a corrupt system that is easily exploitable. It has been proven many times in history, as well I am unsure why you think Google is "secure". They are probably one of the least secure tech companies, and one of the most targeted by hackers and people looking for exploits. This applies to many different services, or products from Google.

I don't take photos I don't want other people seeing or that I want to delete. Yes, I saw the same video and again, I don't really care. I'm aware my opinion is not popular for obvious reasons, but you honestly think google is one of the least secure tech companies? They have the best security experts in the world... My apologies let me rephrase that, they are one of the least secure relevant and popularly used tech platforms. Everything is vulnerable no matter what you use

(Apr 24, 2019 08:22 AM)AeroBlue Wrote: Everything is vulnerable no matter what you use Everything is vulnerable, some companies treat bugs and exploits a lot more seriously than others. For example, Google is known for having an exploit come out, they acknowledge it by pushing an update to "patch" it. But in reality, half the time they end up either not patching it, or opening up new exploits with their "patch". There is a longgggg list of not only companies but developers that I would rather use their products, or services before ever using anything from Google. 😏 But to each their own, I just think their products are not good. People praise them on "developers" and "security researchers" who clearly are incompetent or underpaid.
