Concerns about my HF account

Hello HackForums Community,

I've started to use HF on a more regular basis. I started using HF as my brother referred me to the website.

I'm now upgrading to l33t, (I've already paid) I'm worried as I understand there is a rule stating "No multiple accounts". Is there anyway I can insure that we are in-fact two different people.

I will not do any trades/business with my brother via the site. I just thought I should inform someone incase of a mistake.

I've also heard of account merging, I prefer not to do this as I don't want to be held responsible for my brothers attitude which I believe is highly childish.

There's nothing immediately to be concerned about but be warned if he breaks the rules your account could get punished too. Just make sure he knows the consequences.
I think that it's possible that your account could get merged.. its a hard thing to say since your situation is not that well because of the HF policy.

Usually when there are two accounts on one IP and one account has a bad rep that is your "brother's" and the other has a good one it brings up red flags.

But you better PM omni before you upgrade so he knows of this.

That is very true, I've contacted Factor8, I'll leave a msg for Omni as-well just to stay on the safe side.

I can provide government ID proof as-well if need be (matching my payment info ect..)
Quote:Policy is we have no policy on that. It's basically a crap shoot with no guarantees. You might get merged or banned by staff one day. Especially if something draws us to review your account such as rep abuse or deal disputes. Multiple accounts on a home IP are a huge red flag for staff. So it's at your risk that you do that.

I'm considering options for labeling associated accounts in the future but it's low on the list.
This is quoted right from Omni.
The bottom line is, there is really no guarantees.
