I took it upon myself to include this, no worries.

There were minor errors in the World News as I didn't get a chance to proofread it due to it being written by a member outside of the Writers. I couldn't proofread the Gaming News as it was in image format. I reported the major spelling errors, but Mark was busy and we thought that the community would be mature enough to presume what the word was supposed to be, rather than bitching about 3-5 spelling errors which were a result of free time. @Pizd Shh. I spent at least an hour proofreading what I could, and I spent at least 4 hours on the interviews. Along with that, I have major commitments to groups, sports, and my own education. Editing takes a lot longer than 5 minutes, and I did my best to bring perfection in the sections that I had the ability to edit. Hell, proofreading isn't even my position. I'm an interviewer. If you have an issue, come say it to me nicely. I'll do the best to change my ways if necessary. The typos in this edition weren't major, and they were out of my control to edit. There were minor errors in at least one, most probably both, of my interviews. They are raw text and I'm not supposed to edit the text. OT: Great edition. Thanks team. If you want me to bitch, I can do that too. But, reading the post that I made, I believe I was fairly civil. Unless of course you wanted me to post something along the lines of: "Omg, you're all fucking hopeless writers, why the fuck are you writers when you can't even proofread your own shit?" Then I would understand if you said I was bitching. What I was saying clearly WAS not bitching. No constructive criticism was directed at me. If we don't have a current World News writer, then the work will be done by some one else. It may not be what people are used to, but they should take the knowledge they are given. Likewise for other positions. I'm simply telling them that pointing out spelling errors is essentially pointless. (Aug 26, 2012 04:10 AM)Phytrix Wrote: And so do the people providing. No constructive criticism was directed at me. Something like "I enjoyed this edition. The graphics were great. I noticed a few minor errors in the Gaming News, but overall decent edition." a good mix of motivation and criticism goes a long way. Done here, for now.
