port forwarding works fine as long as there is no VPN involved (currently trying vpnbook). Does that depend on the VPN-provider or am i doing something wrong fundamentally? If it does depend on the provider, do you have any tips for a good one with good bandwith and ''port-forwarding'' if that's even a thing.

I suggest buying BlackShades VPN. It opens all ports.
