Hello All Computer Security Enthusiasts, including myself, so Hello MaiTriCks
I am surprised that nobody had created a thread on it, but that old MalwareBytes GUI has totally been ravaged and revamped! It is official and has exited the Beta stage. All can now update to it. And if you haven't gotten malwarebytes, get it today. It is recommended for optimal protection, and it is better than most anti-virus scanners, and catches things under the radar.
Goodbye to:

I thought you would all be interested to know.

I am overjoyed to announce the first public beta of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0. I know you've been waiting a very long time for this and so have we! The purpose of this beta is to get feedback from the people we care most about -- our users!
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0 ships with a completely redesigned user interface to make the product easier to use, more informative, and provide quicker access to key functionality. We have built in and improved our Anti-Rootkit and Chameleon self-protection technologies that have been in beta for the past year. Additionally, we've rewritten Malicious Website Blocking and improved native x64 support. Most importantly, our detection and removal engine was significantly improved under the hood and kicks even more malware butt! This is the biggest rewrite we have ever undertaken, and we hope you’re thrilled with the result.
With the launch of 2.0, we'll also be moving to a subscription licensing model, $24.95 per year. As more and more people have come to rely on us for malware protection and cleanup, our costs in bandwidth, hosting fees, infrastructure, salaries of our researchers, QA department, and more have grown immensely. Though our company is about more than just making money, we are a company and we do have to make money to pay our staff to continue doing what they love, which is fighting malware. The subscription model will help us to be sustainable for the future while staying true to our roots that we will always make malware cleanup free for everyone.
We will continue to honor existing lifetime licenses, meaning any users that already have a lifetime license for 1.x will continue to have a lifetime license for 2.x. We'll be offering a few thousand more lifetime licenses during launch as well. On top of all of that, new subscription licenses will be valid for 3 PCs, not just 1.
We could have gone other routes to make our business more financially sustainable, like adding toolbars or advertisements like many other security products have, but that's not the company we are. We believe that products should be nag-free and cleanup shouldn't cost our users a dime, and we're going to stay true to that. Scanning for and removing malware will be free in version 2.x and beyond! You didn't pay to get infected, you shouldn't pay to clean it up! :)"
SUMMING UP DIFFERENCES:- BRAND NEW USER INTERFACE
- MORE INFORMATIVE
- BUILT IN ANTI-ROOKIT AND CHAMELEON SELF-PROTECTION FOR INTEGRITY
- REVAMPED WEBSITE BLOCKING AND IMPROVED ON 64-BIT OSs
- SUBSCRIPTION LICENSING, $25 P/Y
- NEW PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS VALID FOR 3 PCs, NOT 1
It is time to go over the new elements of MalwareBytes Premium 2.0:
We now have a dashboard, scan, settings and history tab, friendly UI IMHO.

There are three types of scans, Threat Scan, Hyper Scan, and Custom Scan.

Then we have General Settings, this includes everything:

I think they made scanning so much more fun, here's my first scan <3:

As you can see, scanning includes new sectors:- A Pre-Scanning Operation to check environment conditions
- System Drivers
- Master Boot Record
- Physical Sectors
- Memory Objects
- Start-Up Objects
- Registry Objects
- Filesystem Objects (finally)
- Heuristic Analysis, and once again, this is truly the second line of defense in fighting malware.
This looks like something i'd invest in. The GUI is much more professional, and the additions made are fantastic; just about every thing that users from mediocre to l33t would need for their virus removal purposes.
And no, it is still not an anti-virus. 😠
The reason why you have not heard of it till now is because it is not listed as a Beta on their website. You guys just have me, the one band R&D here. 🤭 Enjoy the download everyone!

/discuss (it may look fake, but its' virus scanning engine is so efficient, you won't even know your running a full system scan)
To be honest I still prefer the the old UI. Sometimes less is better.
I did not know about this, thanks for the share! Will definitely check it out!
If you are struggling and need someone to talk to about something or want to vent about your IRL problems, I am just one PM away.

It may seem like a lot, but there are hardly 25 new settings that they have created. I am a simple, yet complex guy. This seems like a magnificent upgrade and restructure of the previous MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Pro edition.
Since I have a full time license, this is one amazing deal here since they've added lots of configurations desired by me. I am not so sure about you nully, but I like variation and option in my software, it makes it more customizable to my liking. It is worth every bit and byte.
For some reason the look of it reminds me of those rogue AV's...
I liked the old one. It's going to look bad. :C
I like the old one. It is light and simple.

If I download this will I still be PRO like I am now?

The real-time protection module is a complete joke KFC, but I like the new UI. It reminds me of the Windows 8 UI, and it would fit perfectly (even though I don't support Windows 8). Actually, I thought that the newer interface looks descent, and nothing too hard core or too mediocre. It is a malware removal application, so I am not so sure what kind of a GUI you were expecting.
The scanning heuristics are what it is known for, that playing field has just been upped clearly. Rootkit scanning is impressive too, and a self-protection module has also been implemented. It is slowly leaning to the anti-virus-side of computer security, but still remains Anti-Malware.
The UI looks similar to a matte-themed UI which is what is currently in "style". If you looked at Windows 8, they too somewhat embrace the matte theme, flat, simple. They are trying to keep it simple, yet complex. I like that. The features added are cherries on top, some people could do without the cherries and I understand that. This is a good heads up to not upgrade when malwarebytes wants to install a "New Version" for you people 🙂
Eventually you guys will have to move on, and the current UI is not any better IMHO.
You will remain "PRO" like you currently are, Tenaxium. "PRO" has been changed to Premium, and you can install the older version of MalwareBytes if you feel it is appropriate.
The new UI is bloated, flashy, and overdone. I bet the only people who will like it are the same people that prefer Windows 8 😏

I suppose I'm the exception. It seems perfectly fine to me, and the features it now contains far outweigh its UI, all new UIs get "taking used to" which is primarily why people were afraid to venture into Windows 8. In honor of my reserved reasons, I know I dislike Windows 8. I am now seeing that live affect take place here, which is pretty funny 🤫. It is more logical to upgrade for the features than the UI. Functionality over fashion. And as you stated, the only people who will like it are the Developers who enjoy Windows 8, and people who like some more functionality than just the wheel.

Same scanning engine. Bloated UI.
I guess some people prefer GUI > functionality/stability

It is more organized than bloated, features are added, the scanning engine is improved clearly, not arguing that one 🤣. It is full functional, and I have not experienced any instability yet. In fact, it is much faster than MalwareBytes 1.75, the engine has increased in stability and speed. The window won't hang if I move it around as it would have on the older version of MalwareBytes.🤝
Perfectly fine. I couldn't tell if there was a scan in progress since its so nimble, efficient and light weight.
Well then.
Downloaded this, wile it was installing it removed my current version of malware-bytes and randomly crashed

help pls
EDIT: Redownloaded and worked fine, weird.

Really? Well, have you tried re-opening the application? First time use does take some time to load configurations such as licensing, the new scheduling process, and what not. It did the same for me, but now its smooth sailing. Please keep in mind this is a Beta version, and nothing released to the public. Yes, it is legit. I don't have time to go and imitate a potential MalwareBytes GUI and infect you all.
