Let's agree to disagree mate, there are a lot of good antivirus(In terms of performance and real time detection rates) you seem to avoid in this list and moreover included less effective ones such as MSE and Panda.
List should be Bitdefender, Avira, Avast maybe AVG(It's still better than MSE and Panda).
/I take my statistics from av-comparatives.org.
Rain maker.

I only Posted MSE because its the Most Recommended from MS.
And Panda is actually really good. I tried it on my Windows 7 PC and it worked like a Charm.
But I'm new and i just wanted to try and help out.
This list sucks to be honest.
The top three free Antiviruses are : Avast!, Avira and Panda Cloud (if you have very low end specs).
Microsoft Security Essentials shouldn't even be used anymore, read this :
[Advice] To everyone using Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by Aurа
Bitdefender isn't free from what I know. It's a paid Antivirus and only have a 30 days trial so it doesn't fit in your list at all. Good try but, no.

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.

My bad, Panda is a good one actually, Panda does have 99% detection rates in March 14 real world detection test.
I do remember that Bit defender provided a free version not so long ago, I myself used it to test it, not sure if it's available now.

I recommend Panda a lot and even some helpers at GTG and BP recommends it 🙂 Cloud Antiviruses will become VERY popular in companies as it's becoming a real cloud service called SecaaS (Security as a Service) 🙂

If GTG and BP recommends then no questions asked lol 👍
I just didn't used it much to know how effective it's, I just checked some statis from Av-comparatives.org and surprised to know that it simply blocked 99% malicious files from a real world test March 14.

I know I didn't expect it to be that good but it have pretty good damn results 🙂
Now I wonder if Kaspersky, ESET, big companies you know will release their own edition of Cloud-based Antiviruses. That should be interesting "

The only downside of using a Cloud protection is that if you go offline, you'e fucked if you open an infected file that bypassed the scantime of the Antivirus.

Exactly, unless your computer has built in data streaming or you are a low end spec. user, you should invest in a real time protection anti-virus that does not rely on the cloud.
Cloud AVs would be extremely effective on computers with wireless data aircards. 😉
