It's a long read, but well worth the effort. It's already clarified a few concepts for me. Thanks.
I have not purchased this ebook, but I can tell you that Goodies is definitely a HQ member. I am sure if you purchase this ebook you will learn a lot.

Really great eBook. I just finished reading it and one thing I really liked about it is OP explains everything. Goodies gave extensive background information and you can understand what is going on behind the scenes while pentesting.
Im pretty sure in order to do this you will need a Linux OS, ;) You can't hack If you don't got linux 🤝

This comment shows how much you need this book ;D
I've already vouched for this eBook but I gotta say it again, this is straight out knowledge. You will NOT regret buying this book.

Haha Pretty much what TPW said. A common misconception of people first getting into pentesting/hacking is that you need a specialized Linux distro to "hack" but this is far from the truth. Many programs that penetration testers use are made for Linux because it has better interaction with hardware and fewer limits out of box and is HIGHLY configurable (not to mention open source) but many things that are not contingent on the attacker's OS (IE: remote exploitation of hosts or websites) certainly do not require Linux.

'Current Version: 0.1 beta'
If I purchase now, do I get free updates or would I have to pay for them?

If you are unable to come to a conclusion to that question when three pieces of information in the first post would lead to the answer, perhaps this is not appropriate for you.

Yes. Any updates will be free. They will not be often, but it may happen.

I came back to update my review. I've been learning Pen testing for a while; I shared a link to a pack of books on the subject in the free tutorials section. Although past the "introductory" stage, I bought this last week.
To say that this text would have saved me countless hours wwhen I started playing with kali/metasploit is stating the obvious, but it's also helped me in a number of areas where I was making slow progress. It's really a good book.
