Im wanting to devote some real time to coding projects, and im wondering which will be most useful to invest my time into at the moment. In terms of future prospects, do you think time is better spent mastering android development, or web development (HTML5, PHP)?

Java
Android dev vs Web dev? |

If you're wondering about java or not that would go to the coding subsection, as this is the java subsection so of course you will get java recommendations. Anyway, that is 100% up to you. Are you more interested in web development or android development lol? If you really wanted to you could mix things up and use HTML5 on phonegap to write an android application.

Unless you plan on making a mobile version of a website or an online type of app/game Like imobsters then choose HTML, but if you want to make offline working apps/games use java

Why not do web development with Java? 0.o Do some research on Java EE although it is useful to have a background with web development beforehand

Java is a good start and a good way to go, but ultimately you should do whatever you feel like is the best option (and gives the coolest result you can be happy about). ![]() |
