I know the group's SFs are only two clicks away from anywhere. To a lot of people this is nothing, but for those that like me have crappy connections or are forced to use a crappy tablet with crappy navigation, this can take an eternity.
I just feel it would be so easy to implement, yet possibly help many.

Bookmarking is easy enough, don't think this is a must.
But what about people that accidentally click on it and takes them an eternity to load and then get back out
Just book mark the page.
We could always just make a userscript to do that same thing?

He's talking about slow-loading tablets, not everyone has fully-functional high-speed computers at their disposal.

I'm talking load times, man. 3 clicks is an eternity to some.
I don't support this.
Because it's very ugly for people who aren't in that group to see "You're not allowed to see this page" if they miss-click or something.
I think bookmarking is fair enough.

I don't think this would happen as all groups have a few hundred people in total, which is a small % of the members here.
Bookmarking would be easiest, think if you acciedntally clicked userbars of groups you're not in, that would annoy you very quickly. I know the tablet you use, you should try installing some userscripts on it, would make things easier for you and it's something you can implement without having to wait for a possible change on the site.
