The lack of understanding here truly hurts. I mean, it's clear you know how to setup booters, but do you actually know how what you're setting up works? You didn't explain how any of the methods work, nor even give a basic outline as to what a DDoS attack is.

There's so much you can do with TCP which isn't even mentioned here 🤨 Yeah, I have really missed few methods of Layer 7 too. I know HF is intelligent to understand. Layer 4 has many more possibilities. Sam Bowne gave a great talk about a new possible layer 4 attack which he demonstrated as having the ability to completely crash a server. Not just taking out its networking capabilities, rather it forced the server to completely shutdown which thus required a manual restart.

Slowloris sends incomplete HTTP packets at the webserver (only the header of the HTTP packet) at the webserver. This makes the webserver wait on the other half as it assumes you have poor internet and if enough headers are sent the server can't handle any more requests as it is waiting on all your malformed requests. So this is a header attack RUDY is sending POST data into a form field on a website. Usually this is started off with a high content header in the packet. You then send content into the field at a very low rate. This means the webserver has to wait on the data you are sending and this can crash the webserver. Using the POST request makes it a POST attack... Yeah totally don't know how it works (sarcasm) (Nov 6, 2014 08:44 AM)ThePacketBaron Wrote: Actually I do understand what they do lol.
