It seems like Burger King ("BK") in Japan really likes to get into the season. Following their Kuro Burger (Halloween), BK has announced their release of new holiday themed burgers in a promotion they like to call "Berry Kristmush". The two burgers are named the Mush 'N Cheese and the Premium Berry. The Premium Berry burger features a sauce made with raspberries, cranberries, blueberries, and red wine mixed with whole blueberries on top of bacon, a flame-grilled black pepper-mixed beef patty, lettuce, onions, and mayo. The Mush 'N Cheese burger features a black pepper beef patty topped with a chopped blend of four mushrooms and a four-cheese sauce, plus a dusting of Parmesan on a sesame seed bun. Both burgers are relatively inexpensive, at the cost of 590 and 480 yen (~$5 and ~$4.07 USD), respectively.
Spending Christmas Eve alone? Japan has a word for all you loners out there.
In Japan, Christmas Eve is supposed to be the most romantic night of the year. People everywhere celebrate the night drinking, dancing, or hanging out with their significant other; however, in recent years, not only has the country's birthrate fallen, but so has the amount of people married or even dating. This nationwide trend has prompted the coining of a new word: kuribotchi (クリぼっち). The word was created by combining the English word "Christmas" and the Japanese word "hitori-botchi", meaning "all by oneself". クリぼっち describes a situation where the individual spends Christmas Eve by themselves. Merry Christmas. You may feel alone, but you really aren't.
ME!ME!ME! - A pervert's heaven? Or an artistic masterpiece?
November saw the release of some pretty "interesting" anime-related music videos, but perhaps the one that topped the charts is a video titled ME!ME!ME!. Directed by Hibiki Yoshizaki and music performed by Teddylord and Daoko, the 8 minute long video has taken the world by storm. People everywhere have taken to social media to help spread this video described by many as weird, or is it? Apparently, there's a much deeper meaning behind the video (see below for full interpretation). What did you think of the video? In case you haven't seen it yet, you can view the full video on AnimeExpo's site, but be warned though, the video contains nudity presented in an unorthodox fashion. View the video here (NSFW).
(Dec 2, 2014 12:05 AM)Hentai Wrote: I interpreted the story as being: The guy once had a girlfriend, and dated her only for sex. So he put up a facade for his girlfriend, hiding his true intentions, but the girlfriend loved the guy for who he was and wanted to keep a healthy dating relationship. One day the guy pushed his girlfriend to have sex with him, she didn't feel ready and didn't want to, so he did it forcefully. That night, she lost her virginity. Eventually she believed his love for her was fake, believing that he only lusted over her body, in the end she broke up with him. Now the guy rests on his bed thinking what went wrong. He falls asleep and dreams about sex. The first part of the dream being how he felt about the situation, he thought it was natural and normal, so what went wrong? In the middle of the first dream everything becomes red, that's when he starts thinking about her, and how she felt in the situation, him being squished and blood coming out before his fake wake symbolized the taking of her virginity. After his fake wake and the boss monster appearing out of the television, she took off her mask and revealed that she was his girlfriend, and dumped all of her saliva onto his mouth, symbolism for putting himself in her shoes. The first scene in the second dream shows his girlfriend in a white dress on a pink background, symbolising virginity, but her skin fades to skeleton, more symbolism for the taking of her virginity. It cuts to a naked body with him standing on her nipple, zooms to eye to show his girlfriend naked, more symbolism to backup that he just lusted over her body, nothing more. A few more scenes later we see pictures of them together, zooms out, then zooms out of his eye. Symbolism for him realizing that she really loved him, so what went wrong? The following scene shows her on the floor as an adult, and him leaving as a kid, symbolising that she believed that he changed, and she wants the old him back. The video then cuts to him on the floor without his legs, symbolizing that he finally put himself in her shoes, given the feeling of not being able to move, like how she felt on the bed that night, losing her virginity, feeling hopeless and ugly. Yet another cut to a scene where the girlfriend goes up to him and kisses him. He breathes and his eyes open wide to another realization that he dun goof'd, that she loved him, and he was a total jerk. The girlfriend turns into the boss monster, but the girlfriend is not the boss monster, the appearance of the boss monster symbolizes the guy's change into a monster. Realizing all this, he wants to change, another fake wake, pictures of his girlfriend, realizing that she loved him and he actually still loves her, so he pretends that he's the hero in the third dream, off to save his girlfriend to show her that he too also had feelings for her, not just for her body. Sadly, dubstep mouth is powerful in the end. His feelings of lust kill his intentions of love. He dies, lust eats away at him, they leave his head in the end for him to think. Realizing that what he has done cannot be changed. He cannot change anything, there's no way to make things normal again. He opens his eyes, and realizes that he has to accept this.
The anime, video games, and television were all factors of the media that pushed him to have sex.
But idk that's just my interpretation.
Real time face recognition technology can make your avatar come to life!
A Keio University group in Japan has developed a system that monitors actions of an individual, captured on webcam, to render a real time avatar. Internet users, namely gamers, may one day be able to enjoy playing realistic roleplaying games that mimic the facial features of the player in real life. The software does not require any special hardware. In fact, it can be used on any computer as long as a webcam is present.
The group plans on launching the software for PC in the near future.

Hey, ♦Tet♠ here that's right I'm running the gaming scene now boys and girls so you better prepare for the greatest news on everything gaming! So long as Japan has something to say about it!
So as many of you may have heard just last week 21/11/2014 Nintendo has released Super Smash Bros for the WiiU!
This game series has come a long away from the very first Super Smash Bros release in 1999 till now 2014!
Come play as some of the old veteran characters such as Pikachu, Mario, Fox, All the way to the newcomers such as Robin, Lucina, and Greninja!
So if you're still looking for something to ask for, for Christmas I think we all know what you should be asking for. ;)
Alright so we all knew this was coming... Yes so this game Summer Lesson is a Virtual Reality game where you get to have interactions with... a high school girl.
Bandai Namco Games is currently working on this using Sony's Project Morpheus virtual reality headset. This Saturday & Sunday Sony is going to be letting 700 users (in Japan of course) test this. Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada explains in this article that the purpose of this game was to get the game character to acknowledge the player's own existence in the game with getting upset if you look away from her to much to getting surprised if you get too close to her.
You all though this was going to take another 10 years didn't you? ;P
In this week's music section, we'll be having a look at the popular "Vocaloid" genre and the band BABYMETAL.
Starting off with Vocaloid, if you don't already know what it is, it's basically computer generated music.
The program comes with pre-loaded recordings of the Japanese alphabet which you can put together with some background music to make your own songs.
Each character was voiced over by different people so you have a wide variety of choices.
Now there's three variations of the Vocaloid genre:
Moving on to BABYMETAL.
BABYMETAL is a Japanese metal band formed mainly of three high school girls. The whole idea was taking young idol genres and mixing it with metal. The group turned out to be very popular, releasing several albums and touring several places around the world. Not only do these girls sing but they dance on stage and have a whole choreography. They have adopted the kitsune (fox) hand sign as a symbol for their band.
The three members are:
"I am Holo the Wise Wolf, and I am a very proud wolf."
She is a very popular character and faithful adaptations are always a pleasure to see. For this week's issue, we have a beautiful cosplayer from Taiwan going by the nickname "Breeze" dressed up as none other than Holo from Ookami to Koushinryou (more commonly known as Spice and Wolf).
It is very apparent that she cares a lot about the scenery her photos are taken in: seeing the photos gave me the very same feeling of journey that the anime conveys. Both the wheat and the apple add a nice touch and are iconic for the witty wolf. If you're a fan of settings faithful to the respective anime / franchise you should definitely check out her gallery (link below), most of her cosplays are very strong in that aspect.
Her body fits the character she's portraying very nicely. Her costume, albeit the ears seem a bit suboptimal, looks well-made and doesn't have any glaring flaws. The editing does well in highlighting her beauty (and the apple) and is very pleasant to the eye. I heavily recommended to check out her other photos as well since seeing only the three photos above doesn't do her justice; she is a very pretty girl. Let me know what you think!
This week's Cosplay Corner was done by iMew as Fireworks unfortunately couldn't, I hope you enjoy the cosplay nonetheless!

Synopsis
In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as "Hell's Gate" appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. Hei is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents, and along with his blind associate, Yin, works for one of the many rival agencies vying to unlock the mysteries of Hell's Gate.
Characters
Hei
His codename is Hei, which means black in Chinese. Hei is a very talented contractor, his Messier Code is BK-201. Hei lives two lives in the series. In public he is Li Shengshun, a foreign exchange student from China. He is very nice and well mannered. He lives in the Umitsuki apartments and is always working a new part-time job. He has a huge appetite, not unlike most anime characters.
Yin
A member of Hei's team and an emotionless spirit medium known as a "doll."
Her power lies in tracking and observation by way of water. However, this power only takes effect when she is in direct contact with water. Huang mentions that her "program" is a minimal one, incapable of showing emotion or even allowing her to make decisions for herself, though, she later debunks this by making the decision to keep working with Hei and the others when given the choice of leaving.
Tails' Opinion
Darker than Black is one of the few moderately popular shows that I know of that is entirely original. Most shows now are based on Manga and Light Novels so the expectations for Darker than Black aren't really that high, but with that being said, I was wonderfully surprised. Darker than Black is a show that really made me want to keep watching from episode to episode, the idea of contractors was so interesting to me that it alone kept me watching. Continuing on from that the story wasn't terrible. Decent progression and twists here and there, I can't really say say that Darker than Black was bad. I give the story a 7/10
The characters had an interesting dynamic with how they were set up, I didn't highlight all 4 of the main characters to save space but they are all so different in every single way that its great to watch, the MC, Hei, is someone that I genuinely liked watching every episode. The supporting cast was a little weak so it loses a few points for that but overall a solid cast. I give the characters a 7/10.
The art to me was just meh, the backgrounds overall weren't exceptionally beautiful and the fight scenes were alright, all in all just an average showing in this department. I give the art an 6/10.
Now, the most important section of the review, enjoyment. Did I enjoy Darker than Black? Yes. The character dynamic + plot twists + action + individuality in characters and abilities and such was great to me. Darker than Black is one of the most enjoyable shows I've ever watched and I would honestly recommend it to anyone, period. In terms of enjoyment I give it a 9/10
Programmargorp's Opinion
Darker than Black is in my opinion one of the most well-known series in existence (besides Clannad, Angel Beats, Crapruto/Narutard, etc.) and hence without mocking you guys further, we’ll get into the actual review. Darker than Black is an original series written/directed by Okamura Tensai and animated by Bones (Gosick, Eureka Seven, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0). For the sake of consistency I will assume this review only applies to the first season.
In my honest opinion, Darker than Black is an example of a series which is good, but hyped out by the community so it appears to be much better than it actually is (not to say that the series is bad in any way).
Darker than Black is a story about oppression, justice and finally the evolution of emotions. Being an original series, there wasn’t a lot of source material to work from; therefore I believe that Bones did a pretty good job with this series by not screwing it up (*Cough Guilty Crown Cough*). In my aim to not spoil any part of the story, let’s move on.
Being done by Bones, you can expect that they’ll blow lots of budget the second they decide that there’s going to be an action scene in the series. Due to this, the art of Darker than Black was nothing short of being above average. Clean, well-choreographed action scenes and clean artwork places this series quite well in the art department, even though it is almost 7 years old at the time of writing.
Since I’m already late with this review, I’ll keep the rest of it short and jump straight to the most important part of this review. Should you watch Darker than Black?
If you enjoy anything that’s action with more mature themes in it, then yes, you should watch Darker than Black. Admittedly Darker than Black (the first season) did have its flaws in that it didn’t have a running story, but this doesn’t stop it from being a pretty epic display of action which really makes this worth watching.

Synopsis
Keita has two step-sisters who love him in a lustful way and have no problems expressing it, they even are in competition about that. Much to the laughs of his friends, he endures it but when one day they come to his school to give him his lunch, he gets annoyed and explodes on them, then they confess their feelings for him in front of everyone and leave. Feeling sorry he chases after them and says that he'll study hard in order to get in the same high school as them.
Characters
"Bugger Off, Let me sleep..."
Keita Suminoe (住之江 圭太)
Keita is a third-year junior-high school student studying for his high school entrance exams and although he is the younger brother, it is obvious he is the most mature of the three siblings. He wants to enter the same high school as his older twin step-sisters Ako and Riko, and to do so must study hard while getting help from his sisters as well as he was originally planning on relying on his track running scholarship for another school. While at first he initially dislikes himself for becoming attracted to Ako and Riko, he later becomes proactive in his desires. It is later revealed he was in love with his sisters when they were kids, and even used all of his money that he saved up for a prayer that he could marry both of them. This changed when he found out from his father that polygamy is illegal and "grew up". He is weak when it comes to alcohol, and will become livelier when he drinks, but after he sobers up he does not remember anything he did. After chapter eighteen of the manga, he makes it into his sisters' school Gakushū Senior High. He has strong morals (that have clearly weakened with the constant "attacks" his sisters have done throughout the series), as he will try to resist to the best he can, but if pushed too far he will simply indulge in the moment. He has also shown an attraction towards Miharu and Yuzuki.
Still never told why she always has a plaster... Emo?
Riko Suminoe (住之江 りこ)
Riko is the younger twin sister. A way to tell her apart from Ako is that she wears her hair in a ponytail, and it is longer than her sister's hair. Also, she has a bandage below her left eye. She has a habit of answering truthfully but very bluntly, causing everyone else to jump to conclusions, even at one time about to honestly state that she and her sister wanted a computer solely for porn, however was quickly stopped by Ako. She is much shyer in person than her sister, as she could not kiss Keita in front of others. At school, she is on the disciplinary committee, where she uses a bokken/shinai to punish the students and she has more of a strict personality, yet just like her sister will abuse her authority to get Keita.
Another Surprised face...
Ako Suminoe (住之江 あこ)
Ako is the elder twin sister. A way to tell her apart from Riko is that she wears a hair clip to keep the hair off her forehead. She has a reliable, level-headed personality, but can be sullen, moody, even a bit childish and is quickly embarrassed. She carries herself differently than her sister, is more skilled in cooking which she learned to help her mom out with the housework, and is strong with alcohol which she sometimes uses to her advantage to knock out Riko to have the livelier Keita all to herself. She is a closet pervert and more often planning her seduction of Keita, even hiding porn magazines in her room. At school, she is on the school committee, but has a habit of abusing her authority to get Keita.
Vandie’s Opinion
So those of you who have talked to me before know that I've watched this more than few times but then you probably also know that I have yet to read the manga until this point...
Kiss-X-Sis follows Keita, a young lad, who has a pair of rather "loving" step-sisters.It leads to many funny and sometimes quite awkward situations.Although some things in the story Don't really make too much sense , It only adds to the hilarity of this ecchi masterpiece. The progression of Kiss-X-Sis is rather slow but gets you wanting to read more with every single lustful tile (just make sure any house-mates/room-mates/family are out the way first. Ok?). The story was crafted with great precision and amazing humor by the extremely skilled Bow Ditama and although the absurdity of some of the situations is sometimes a little off-putting the story still behaves like it was not taking itself to seriously without loosing all senses of realism. The story gets a hot8/10
The characters in Kiss-X-Sis are amazing.Keita is a really awkward but collected individual (unless he's drunk , more on that later) which is perfectly balanced by just about everyone around him. His step-sisters Ako and Riko with their manic obsession over Keita really make his life difficult while simultaneously sorting out almost all normal difficulties that he should normally have, Be it in their rather messed up way.Keita does start to warm up to his non blood related older sisters as it goes along though so his problems do start to wane unless you count the whole host of other romantic interests he starts to accumulate namly his sisters teacher and her little sister... Yep, he's screwed allright. Either way the characters of Kiss-X-Sis get a nice 'n' steamy9/10
Art.Always the difficulty. The art of Kiss-X-Sis isn't that bad.I don't hate it but...You know...Sure you look at it and think it's good but after that your left pondering what it is that you like about it. The faces are smooth and the backdrops have a lot of detail but then some things occasionally look wrong.Like the shape of peoples heads on some pages or the angle of a book being slightly off. Again I'm not saying that the art is bad just that it's not perfect. I like the art but I don't really think that its too much better than average. For the reason of it being not perfect but still "alright", I will be giving the art 7/10
Kiss-X-Sis is a great manga that I thoroughly enjoyed however it had its flaws and for that I am forced to penalise it. I think that Kiss-X-Sis is a must read for any ecchi loving hentai (if you think this is only a term used for animated pornography than you are not a true weeb).Kiss-X-Sis is one of the more weird manga and so.. Kiss-X-Sis gets a smooth 8.2/10
Thanks for reading my section again guys, I know that a lot of you enjoy reading AA weekly so I request that If you can, do send a pm requesting a manga to me as I feel kind of stuck when it comes to picking one at the beginning of each week
Synopsis:
In the near future.
In a not so distant place.
There exists a society where law is based upon deterrence and criminals are assigned "obligations" fitting for their crimes.
Within this society, a man named Morita Kenichi aspires to the position of Special High Class Individual, one who holds authority over said criminals.
For the purpose of fulfilling his ambition, Kenichi returns to the town he once called home. There he will encounter three girls bearing "obligations" and there he will encounter the past he left behind.
Won't you join him in this story about how people relate to their society?
In this story about how a society relates to its people.
In this story about the girl amid the sunflowers growing in the country spinning like a wheel.
Story review:
Sharin is set in a country with a very different justice system to our own. Rather than the normal punishments of fines and imprisonment, the justice system in Sharin no Kuni is armed with a number of “obligations” to fit any crime a person may be guilty of. For example: A con-man may be denied his right to speak, or a murderer may be denied their right to have children. These obligations are given with the ultimate goal of rehabilitating each criminal so that they can become an upstanding member of society. To that end each rehabilitee is assigned a supervisor known as a “Special High Class Individual”, and that’s where Morita Kenichi, this story’s protagonist, comes in.
Morita has undergone years of arduous training to become a Special High Class Individual, and now all that stands in the way of his goal is the final examination which just happens to take place in the hometown he hasn’t been to in nearly a decade. The plot revolves around Morita’s interactions with the town’s inhabitants, some of them childhood friends that fail to recognise the man he has become (but who haven’t forgotten the person he was) and others that are new to the town. Needless to say, a number of these people have obligations that need to be resolved. There’s certainly more to the plot than I have mentioned here, but you’ll have to play the VN to experience it yourself.
I liked each and every character in Sharin no Kuni. Early in the story the protagonist grated on my nerves a little, but he repeatedly demonstrates the ability to step up to the plate when the situation is serious and also matures a little as the plot progresses. There are 4 heroines to choose from : Sachi, Touka, Natsumi and xxxxxx. I came to care about all of them by the end of the novel, which is usually indicative of good character design. The supporting cast was also well done, and the “villain” was excellent; I really hated the bastard in the end.
Sound:
I really enjoyed Sharin no Kuni’s soundtrack. The BGM did a great job of helping to immerse the player in the story, with some very nice “exciting” tracks accompanying the equally enjoyable slow ones. While neither the opening nor ending voiced songs were my sort of thing, I felt that they suited the visual novel overall. The voice acting was spot on, being of high quality at all times and fitting each character well.
Art
Sharin no Kuni is your average visual novel in that all of the CGs/Sprites are static, though there is some clever use of zooming in/out and setting the sprites at varying distances. The CGs were excellent, and each character’s poses suited their personalities well. I also really liked that the main character was given a face early on, which many VNs avoid doing. Spoiler (Click to View) Spoiler (Click to View) Spoiler (Click to View) Spoiler (Click to View)
Overall Satisfaction:
Sharin no Kuni has a total of 5 endings (only 4 of them really advance the story though) and it is with these that the visual novel’s biggest faults lie. Each ending changes the story nearly imperceptibly, with the only difference in each route being the inclusion of intimate scenes for your chosen heroine and a very brief epilogue at the end; the overall story remains essentially unchanged. While I’m glad that Akabei Soft2 fixed this issue in G-Senjou no Maou, it was disappointing that Sharin no Kuni was more or less over after the first playthrough. Story: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Art: 8/10
(Click to View) Angel: Hey Package, how are you doing today?
Package: I'm doing just fine, just trying to update my MAL lol. wbu?
Angel: I've been busy with getting some last minute work done for the semester but other than that pretty swell. Before we get this thing rolling, why don't you tell me a little about yourself?
Package: Well I'm package, 18. I enjoy anime, flaming you on TS, and anything horror related!
Angel: I don't recall this flaming to be honest but that's okay. Horror huh? Wonder who got you hooked on that. Well since you don't post in AA much and most of our readers don't really know who you are, what sections do you usually post in and why don't we see you around AA more often?
Package: I'm sure you know exactly what I am on about really. Well I have been interested in anything horror related for a long time now! And to answer your question I've been a lurker of AA for some time and just never knew where to post. I mainly post in my groups and the lounge!
Angel: Cool, cool hopefully we'll see you around more often. Well since this is an interview about anime, why don't you tell me what your favorite anime is?
Package: I'll be sure to post around more often! Urm I would say Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai is one of my favourites.
Angel: Is there any specific reason for why you consider it your favorite?
Package: I guess the way it follows on from all the questions left in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni made me very eager to watch it and find out all the answers.
Angel: Ah I love that type of anime, you know where you just can't wait to start the next episode. Since you're relatively new to anime, what got you initially interested in it?
Package: Indeed. Originally my friends in high school were really big fans of anime and as such encouraged me to start watching it, which I did starting with Highschool of the Dead and Eden of the East I believe.
Angel: Interesting, Eden of the East is actually something I've wanted to watch for a long time now. A pretty popular debate for any anime viewer and since, like I stated earlier, you're kind of new to anime, do you prefer to stream or torrent your anime?
Package: It's defiantly an enjoyable watch! I guess I prefer to torrent my anime since I'm not a big fan of web players, although my internet suffers horrible spikes here and there so sometimes I'm left to stream.
Angel: Ever since I started watching anime I've preferred to stream (because I have always had really good internet speeds) but I did just recently buy an external HDD so I'll see what torrenting anime is like soon enough. Since I just helped you create a MAL recently, let me ask you which do you prefer, Hummingbird or MAL?
Package: Awesome! I recommend using Animebytes for torrenting. Truthfully I'm still new to MAL so I'm still tweaking around and stuff, but I'm finding MAL has much more options for customization over Hummingbird. I'll probably start using MAL over Hummingbird soon!
Angel: Yeah it's definitely better to start using MAL when you haven't seen that many series yet! It can be kinda of daunting to add every show you've watched. Speaking of series watched, how long does it usually take you to actually finish an anime?
Package: It usually takes me a day or two, since I usually focus on one anime at a time. What about you?
Angel: Well it varies for me depending on how much school work I have. Usually if I don't have much work I can fixxnish a series in two days. What do you think of AA Weekly? Do you have a favorite section or maybe you have any suggestions for us?
Package: Cool. I enjoying reading AA, gives me some insight. I enjoy reading the interviews!
Angel: Well that's convenient since you'll be featured there in the upcoming issue. Well that's pretty much all the time I have for now, Package. Before we close up, is there anything you would like to say to our readers?
Package: Ayylmao. Yes I would like to tell Dragon to stop copying Google.
Angel: You would think there would be some kind of copyright laws, am I right? Well anyways, it's been fun Package. I appreciate you taking the time to let me interview you. C'ya!

Loving the new graphics though, especially that music one. Looks smooth.
The Burger Kings in Japan do a lot more promotional things than here in the states (at least where I live). One would think there would be more special burgers in America considering how much we eat them lol.
Interesting how Christmas Eve is considered the most romantic day of the year. I figured Valentines/White Day would take that crown. Do the Japanese view it as a holiday to spend with your friends more so than your family?
Pretty awesome avatar technology. Now you can smooch with those fake girls in MMORPG's.
The second song was pretty chill. Seems like something you could listen to while studying or kickin' back. I don't care what anybody says, the last song proves that Japanese people know how to get down. Put that in your workout playlist and you won't have trouble getting pumped. The Reality/Dog tails vocaloid song was used in issue #66 by the way.
From the few songs that I have heard, I like vocaloid and utauloid but I'm partial to utaite. I've listened to quite a bit of covers and there are some really talented singers, especially younger people. Speaking of younger people, how about that BABYMETAL? It's cute stuff and interesting how they managed to create their own subgenre in metal.
If I knew anyone that had a Wii U, I'd be playing the new Super Smash Bros lol. Summer Lesson, what an apt name to give it; essentially training you how to convince a girl to show you her pantsu and oppai. Best believe I'm paying for one of those invites. 😏
Breeze is definitely a pretty lady. Her Yomi Isayama is pretty good as is her Rikku. Why aren't there more JRPG character cosplays?! This is one of my favorites despite the hair looking a little weird and she looks real classy in this green dress. I don't like characters with eye patches but she pulls off Mei Misaki very well. She has a nice variety of characters and she'll be getting a follow from me.
I like the premise of the VN but it's disappointing to hear that the story ends almost the same regardless of the route chosen. Still, it has piqued my interest therefore it will be downloaded.
The new graphics are sweet. Personally, I'm a fan of minimalist, clean, and simple graphics but I can't deny how the new ones add some pizazz to the layout. Matching the girls' hair to the colored background is a nice touch. However for some of the headings (e.g. Anime Highlights, Headlines) there wasn't enough contrast between the girl and the background. The girls look a bit too bright which makes it a little hard to see the details of their character design.
I think the sweet spot is the look of the Gaming headline. You can clearly see the details of the jacket, the hair, and scarf whereas other characters have that shine that blocks out those details. The highlight effect isn't nearly as strong and it doesn't blend the character with the background as much. I apologize if I didn't explain it clearly enough but I only know basic terminology when it comes to graphic design. Other than that, I think the new design is top notch. 👍
Fucking awesome issue guys, it had a lot of great content. It's good to see AA Weekly grow and continue to improve. Keep up the effort and Merry Christmas to all AA!
