He is talking about gun mods for forge. Something like the technic launcher which auto downloads the mods for you. Not sure if people would like HC if it had mods though.

I am not in favor of /fly it kills off multiple features of the game and gives hackers a easy advantage to raid peoples bases. Also setting a smaller boundry size is dumb i dont agree with that eather. Dont wanna play on a dinky map.

lol no. you're thinking of a modded minecraft client. not launcher. the launcher is what appears when you double click Minecraft.exe (or Minecraft.jar if you're on linux). A custom launcher is nothing more then a different layout and a few useful tools. A modded minecraft client is where the client has changes in it, such as new weapons (ak-47's) and new effects (shooting peoples brains out, etc.) you can however code whatever you want in your custom launcher, albeit it won't modify the actual client unless you plan on having it launch a normal minecraft jar and then running multiple transformers to inject the client itself, which only about ~5 (?) people have done.
