I would love to take part in this, as I have done graphics for a few years although i know there is more i can learn.

This is a small bit, i can show more if requested.

I will absolutely be able to complete 1 assignment per week, I already do so in my commercial arts class i am taking in school (around 3-4 assignments per week)

We are currently learning the pen tool, but i feel the class is very basic and just the fundamentals of design, as i am flying through everything without a problem.

These are fairly old, I can't seem to find any that are fully up to date, however I can assure you I've progressed quite a fair bit since last creating these. I can range from thread layouts, animated work, sketches, banners, logos and much more; I love the idea behind the launchpad proposal.

My experience:

This is always an embarrasing topic for me. I've been doing graphics for six years, and admittedly; it doesn't show. I haven't progressed a whole lot over those six years, I never sought out to follow tutorials and oh how I regret it now. However, for the past year I've been reading tutorials in and out, and learning the ways of Photoshop, and I believe I now have what it takes to develop my skills. As for my fields of design, I have branched out in many areas, some of which are:

• Banners
  
• Logos
  
• Userbars
  
• Sketches
  
• Tags
  

I believe one of the real reasons why I haven't been able to advance in PS is because of the lack of motivation, I've never really had a reason to pursue graphics, and I believe this is a prospering opportunity to do so. The assignments would push me to my limits, and give me something to work on. I've always needed a mentor, I've been a quick learner although I've always had questions; and through questions I believe is where I can really show my talent; from the learning process I trust that I have what it takes to develop my designing skill to a professional level.

I'll cut it short here, I'm not quite sure how I'd prove that I would complete the assignments on time, but I assure you I will; this is a great opportunity for someone like myself.

So, I consider myself a decent web designer but, I know I'm not that great when It comes to the designing part. I can code what I want but when It comes down to the designing work, I get stuck. I try but, almost everything I design comes out looking like complete shit. For example, take a look at my thread design and signature... Isn't that pretty terrible? I notice a lot of people applying already have the skill to do great work but, what about people like me? Will we get accepted? I'm pretty much summed it up that It would really help my skills being in this program.

If I'm chosen, I really look forward to working with you guys at the brotherhood.
