I'm going to clarify a few things. Perhaps people (a.k.a. everyone from Echo) can stop ignoring facts and realize that no one is above the rules. You may think that there is some social hierarchy that makes people of prestige immune to the rules, but that isn't the case. If you don't believe me, ask Codevade, Legitti, Anonymous, and Bellagio.

I was approached by a user who pasted conversations from a chat, showing Understalker linking to the MOTM thread in plain sight. He did not explicitly ask for votes, as many people believe. Members who post links to the poll that they are in are violating this very explicit and concise rule.

You are not allowed to ask other members to vote for you. Members in the poll are not allowed to link to the poll at all; this is seen as hinting at or asking for votes. Any such attempts will get you permanently blacklisted from entering the contest and temporarily banned from the forum.

This has been in place since August of last year. You can view the original thread here. Now, I don't want to ban Understalker from the forums; I'm not even sure why that last bit is there. None of us want him to be banned. However, he violated the rule not once but twice. Understalker went out of his way to violate the aforementioned rule twice.

The Skype conversations, that people insist are fake, were pasted from a previously existing conversation. I received both a screenshot of the chats in the context of the chat, and the quoted chats themselves, in a Skype conversation of my own. Only then did I ban Understalker from the poll.

Can we all man the fuck up? We're arguing about a 24x24 icon, here. While some people strive for it, others are endangering the integrity (and status) of this contest. If you continue to cause drama and an uproar, we may not have it in the future. Don't ruin the fun for people who do happen to want it, please.

I'm dangerously close to closing this poll and throwing February 2015 in the garbage. Please don't make me do that. I don't want to. I want a winner. But if we can't play fair, then we won't play at all. It's very simple.

Well said D3xus, don't get me wrong Understalker is a great guy and all but I could care less if won. It would be an accomplishment if I did win but I would just try again in April.

The fact that this thread was remade multiple times proves you cannot run a silly competition legitimately.
