I plan on running an immense purge of all reputations from Closed member accounts.

Not only will all their reputations be removed but also every reputation they have given.

Then a complete reputation recount will ensue. Going to work on it this week but I'm giving a heads up to everyone about it. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. When I see member reputations and that dozens of reps are from closed accounts it really annoys me.

So expect the purge sometime in September.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The worst are the nonsense negs from now closed accounts.

I have a hunch I'll lose a couple hundred reputations from this though and I don't mind.

I think this "Hack Forum Purge" is a good idea. For me personally REP on a profile helps user identify if other users can be trusted in trades and stuff like that. Good idea

This is a good and bad thing, sucks for the members who have earned a couple thousand reputation points, but good for the people who have negative reputations from trolls who were butt hurt when they got repfucked and gave everyone negs, and then were closed eventually.

You should also tick that box on the group page for closed accounts to receive reps, I don't think they really need to be receiving anymore

Most likely other members have "scammer reps" already on that member so wouldn't make a difference if the closed account's "scammer rep" was removed off the "scammer".
