I recently gave a view people neutral rep and they gave me rep saying they will remove theirs if I remove mine.
Isn't that technically asking for reputation or rep Coercion as it states in the help documents?
How should I report this? Which staff member should I PM to report it for this kind of stuff since there isn't a reputation report system as of yet.
Sometimes a fail leads to the solution.
Omniscient deals with reputation, but MAKE SURE that it falls under the guidelines of rep abuse. Also, you must wait 24 hours in order to send Omni the PM to let the person asking for it change their mind. At least that is what I read and did when it happened to me, and it worked out.

What I usually do is PM a staff member, but I want to be sure I am correct in doing so or not.

I don't think that you can do something for that.
Revenge rep is allowed on HackForums!
What if you get neg rep for no reason at all?
Pretty sure their reps are valid, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

This.
It's called revenge rep and it's allowed. Nothing you can do against this if it doesn't violate any rules.
Quote:What is revenge rep and is it allowed?
Revenge rep is the practice of getting a negative reputation after you have given that member a negative. This is not against the rules. Clearly if you leave someone a negative, you can expect them to reciprocate. Think carefully about your choices when leaving reputation. If you fear revenge rep, then reconsider. Admins will not take action on revenge reps. Still, our no-flaming rule does apply to all reps given.

You can rep for anything if you want to. Only things not allowed are:
Gang Rep and accusing someone of scamming without linking the thread.

Again, if it falls under the rules of the reputation system on here, there is nothing you can do.
Even if it's pure nonsense.

As long as the rep isn't abuse by our definition we don't care if it makes sense or not. "Goobe gooba doo" is a perfectly acceptable rep.
Have a look.

I am talking about if they ask to get it removed, this is basically asking to get positive reputation back and asking for rep is not allowed.

That's also allowed. If the user feels like giving a negative rep, it's okay.
*A small tip: Be kind and friendly to everyone. If you give someone a neg or a neutral rep, you should expect him to do the same to you! 🤝
I quote this from the help documents:
Quote:What is reputation abuse?
Reputation abuse can be very complicated subject matter. Here is a list of the following ways reputation can be viewed as abuse.
• Flaming: Using extremely coarse language to describe or berate a member.
• Reputation as a currency: We do not allow the buying or selling of reputations.
• Gang Rep: The act of coordination with other members to raise or lower a member’s reputation is not allowed.
• Rep Coercion: Using intimidation, threats, or blackmail to get reps added or removed.
• Rep Requesting: You cannot give hints, tips, or request reputations.
• Scammer Reputation: You're required to leave a link to a Deal Dispute thread you have created to infer someone is a scammer (ie: scammer, scams, chargebacks, scamming). Please note that a Deal Dispute link must be your own thread you've created. It cannot be a thread opened by another member.
• Deal Dispute Linking: We don't allow you to link to a Deal Dispute forum thread that's opened by another member.
• Reputation Collusion: Agreeing to participate in reciprocal reputations with a member.
That is why I am asking.

Not necessarily.
You can chose to ignore this request or you can (if you're Ub3r) just change the -3 to a neutral.
There used to be an option to delete the reputation you gave to someone, but Omniscient disabled that.
And it's reputation abuse when they are explicitly asking for it or hinting towards it.
Quote:Reputation Abuse
Users may not, in any thread or PM, ask for, offer, or hint at reputation. Inciting people to give reputation to any user is also disallowed. More information regarding the reputation system can be found here.
Now for your question if he is allowed to ask you that.
I'm pretty sure that he is allowed, if he isn't hinting towards it or asking for reputation.

I'm pretty sure your allow to ask someone to resolve the issue regarding the rep, but you are not allowed to ask for rep if you get what I mean..
