What are the groups you think are doing it right?

Exactly but the current members are all dicks, they fight inside the group :/

So far, only member in nightmare I'm completely satisfied with is eCology.

What you need to do is pick a theme for the group, kick everyone then have some sort of weekly project members must contribute to and have some pretty hard recruitment. For example, an app development group where the first weeks project is to make a messaging app. You'd get some higher up leaders to plan ahead and decide what all the members are doing then hand down tasks that will contribute to the finished product to each member and if they don't meet it they get the axe. App development is just an example, you could apply this to do many other areas aswell, I believe in you Grim!

EDIT: Themes where you have an end product at the end of each week will be best as you will have something to show people outside of the group to build its reputation and maybe even something you can monetize.
Echo is the best group on HF lol. All these groups with their righteous goals and aspirations that they never reach is why they fail.

Groups now-a-days try to hard to stay relevant. It's no longer about chilling, it's a dick measuring contest.
Only use HF to deal.
Royalty and Enigma, assuming Red Lions does not count.

Exactly, Echo just chills, which is why they are the most successful. All this bullshit about bettering the forum blah blah blah, no one does it. You don't need a purpose, I've made most of my friendships on here from groups, and that's worth the group's existence in and of itself IMO.

just my 2 cents.

Owners try to put up this false facade to trick and tell their members that they're bettering HF, when in fact, they're paying a $50 Membership fee and wearing a userbar. You know who else did that? Hitler.

Makes sense to me
I feel like if you're seriously trying to set a goal for your group, you shouldn't do it when you're first making the group, that already inhibits your group, establish your group than try and do something like that, just saying.

Hitler did not take people's money to join a group. This is a horrible analogy.

You're right, but he told all of Germany that they're going to make it better etc.

If Omni allowed me, I would've bought Null. Would've based recruitment on people I would want to be with in a group, and see where it went from there.

Meah, I used to think I was going to be an Owner of a group all the time, but it'd always fall through.
