Good Morning, Forgive me - this is my 1st hour on the site. Is a DB lookup a crawl and return of selected criteria. Ie. we search a username and the DB lookup says it exists in 6 places with the list beneath?

There's a FAQ Above the original post but, in a way, yes. I will also give all of the information related to that search, i.e. I search for "H4X0R" As a Username, "H4X0R" Has signed up to 4 Sites that have had their DB's leaked, "H4X0R" gave a password, Email address and Phone number when he signed up to the Site, which is information, I now have and know.

Database lookup is having one or more pieces of information to use to look through leaked databases (register-able websites/private servers) to find more information that links to that specific strand of information. Example - my email is [email protected] and if any databases were compromised that I was signed up to then all you would have to do is to search my email into something like LeakedSource and then It will give you back all of my data from that website such as name,email,address,phone number,ip address etc depending on what they have secured.
