I'm almost about to take a break. There is no way to decode the 2nd image with steg since I do not know the passcode, and the first image seems to be of no help in solving this puzzle. I have no reasons what purpose random lines have in this puzzle, and not a single person has thought of a way around it.

Yeah I would like a hint from cudacode about those purple lines, I'm at a loss too

I think the first image was used for the sandspace link, which contain a .rar The Phone number leads to the second image (?right? not at that step) which for sure have something hidden. Other images in first thread: I tried but doesn't work with steghide. And thanks for the rar Mesh!

Yep the phone leads to the second image which is the one with the purple lines. Not sure what other image to overlay it on, and it doesn't seem to contain anything I can find.
