NSFW Filter

If you are talking about actual NSFW, Omniscient has made it so that no pornographic material is to be posted on this forum. Including hentai. So there's no point in having a NSFW filter.

If you are talking about hackforums.net, Omniscient has stated that he may or may not implement it after the forum upgrade to MyBB 1.8.

My assumption is that he means threads relating to sensitive topics that would typically be for discussions between those over 18, however OP isn't particularly clear about his intention. I can't imagine people wouldn't be able to guess the answer to 'can we have a porn section?'.
There's a lot of younger people under 18, don't think that would be worth considering, since practically any L33T hacker makes their birthday under 1998...
Anyone posting disturbing content should be using a [spoiler] tag while including a warning that there is disturbing content in the spoiler, and if they're not then simply report the post as "adult content" and move on.

If your interpretation matches his original intention, then imho it's not something that I would want to be implemented on this forum.

Then again, this can be suggested in the thread prefix suggestions instead in the form of a [NSFW] tag. Still, highly doubt this would be implemented.

Mainly for people who didn't want other knowing where they were browsing or having something pop up on accident.
It wasn't a porn section

You're thinking of Lite (Archive) Mode, which can be seen if you click the link down at the bottom of the page.

hackforums.net just took away all of the images (for various reason; load times and also because some users have suggestive avatars/signatures)
I don't think this will be needed as any real NSFW content is not relevant on HF or simply not allowed.
@OP, can you explain what kinds of things you would use this feature for?

I think they should change the age from 13 then.

That will bring no change.
The age requirement would have to change for the site in my opinion even with the NSFW. 13 is extremely low.

When's the last time you went to sign up on a website that said you must be of a certain age and then clicked out once you saw you're not old enough?

Won't change anything.
Whats the nsfw? I've never really understood what it meant

Not Safe For Work

Usually used for something 18+

It was removed after a server change I believe. Omni just didnt add it back. That, and you shouldn't be browsing here while you are at work anyways? Or school?
OP, you should expand your idea more in the first post. What is it that you exactly want to be added/achieved?

If you don't want to see as much images on the site, then just go User CP > Edit Options and you can remove the ability to see avatars and signatures. We used to have the hackforums.net option that did this, but was removed, as others have mentioned.

If you're talking about a NSFW 18+ forum overall where porn/harcore images/gore will be allowed, that for sure ain't in hell happening like I said before.
